I have one of these old saws, there is just something about them, lower revving than their younger brother and heaver but I like them. How do you think they would go in an Alaskan Sawmill?
Hi They really are beautifully made saws. I know 1 tree surgeon who has used his 051AVE AV on a saw mill for over 10 years and has cut some huge oak planks. He was running it on a 42" milling bar. So I would think it would perform really well 😀
I've got one, use it for tree trunks with a 30" bar. Loads of torque and very very heavy.

1989 issued?mine doesnt have that protective black plastic above the sword.
