The cable while different, honestly isn't bad. I like it. It sits around the ear really nicely imo. I noticed the male vocal issue too, not bad but they don't have a lot of weight to them. Female vocals sound nice though. Balanced set overall. Things just sound correct on this set. Not too much emphasis on anything. It shines in its imaging though. Very precise imaging and a decent sound stage to go with it. I'm picky cause I gotta have good imaging and I always compare to my ath-m40x with brainwavz angled pads (high bar to beat). These held up against it. So they get a pass from me
