Ryan, I just want to say that I agree with you about this video. It's unbelievable that something so childishly pessimistic have such a amount of likes. Despite of it's clear lack of intention to not expose his ignorance or pure lack of consistency at making a stating in mere 30 seconds, the problem really stands when he just throws at the fan the reason why he made the video. Not only being a person sad and unwilling to accept his own growth, he also uses it as a excuse to claim that an entire industry is as much as damned by his restricted and shallow bubble of awareness that he calls perspective. Such attitude cannot be deemed as healthy when expressed by an adult person, with such incapacity to understand the simple fact that there ever had, have and will have bad sides on anything! I still love video games but I do make time to go to the gym, to be social, to keep learning and growing, to challenge myself. To expand my comfort zone and do things.
A while back in one of Gamertron's videos, I commented about a friend who hated "modern gaming", romanticized older games but never played them, but when I gave him the chance to play one, in this case, Doom 1993, he came close to calling 90's era ID Software the present day EA of the time all because of he kept dying to "unbalanced enemies" and other perceived issues. After your and Gamertron's insight on this paticular content creator's video, it started to make sense. I haven't hung out with that friend in a while but I noticed on his FB that all he does is complain about everything, mostly trivial/normal stuff, and be envious with other people having "nice things". Video games to me have been one thing for me aside from being overall an enjoying hobby, they have been a couping mechanism when life got very rough for me and I thought about giving up on hobbies and other things around me. Now? I am trying to thinking for myself and have the "Play something first and then make your own judgement if its good or not." type of thinking and buying a game that looks interesting to you is like a 50/50 dice roll, one side it can be good once you try or the other being utter garbage and just not worth your time. I try to have a positive view on games now and judge for myself, play the game through and through and maybe see what others think about a certain game and I try to manage my time with life and games. Which kinda brings me to what I want to say about the "Dumb Adult Stuff" segment he put out, being an adult sucks and I wish I would be with my dad and playing my Nintendo 64 again or hell anything to not do adult things, but I accepted what I am as an adult and I do the important priorities first over my hobby. Its why I am more of a PvE gamer now since I don't have time to dedicate to a PvP multiplayer game like many others, granted if I manage more time and figure out the best day to actually learn a game, can I do it? Yeah of course but I choose to be a PvE person due to my priorities and also a lot of PvP games are as appealing to me anymore despite maybe a slight few. Bombfetti I could sense in his tone and in his overall wording was a tad depressed while talking about the state of his favorite hobby and some point he is wrong in but I need to bring out here and I am gonna put this here in bold **NOT ALL GAMES ARE IN A PATH OF GREED** I have played numerous indie games, played several or more triple A games that are old or new and their fun. Video games are meant to be a hobby and meant to be fun and as Reggie Fils Aime himself once said (bless that chad of a man) "If its not fun, why bother?" Pessimism unfortunately sells on youtube and its kinda sickening and it brings a mentality to minds of people to just trust the word of a person before forming their own opinion, however it is sometimes good to believe word of mouth from friends on their experience of a game, if you have a close buddy who just got a game recently thats super good and they really want you to try, wait for a sale or buy full price and give it a shot and see what you like, what do you have to lose? Now if they talk about how like "Oh this dev is bad" Why? Give me a good reason why X dev or Y person is bad? Hell I will mention this here, I do have the epic games launcher and I bought borderlands 3 because I didnt want to wait and I wanted to try it and you know what? Its fun, all things considered. I don't like the launcher since its very weird to manage but, it plays games and thats all that matter at the end of the day. Also the fact you get games for free and you can try them before you say wanna buy them on steam, think of demos but a full game you can play before purchasing on steam. But yeah, make your own opinion and try something that looks interesting for you and try to stay positive. Life is gonna beat the heck out of you at times but you can pull through and video games can help coup depending on the person, if a games looks interesting to you go buy it and play it and see if you like it, don't let anyone elses opinion stop you. The only person who is in charge of their path to the right choice and a positive outlook on life, is you.
Note to self: Never pick a fight with a canadian with big nuts. If they approach while wearing full hockey gear I might as well jump off a cliff right now. Great video by the way eh.
1. Add sad dramatic music (probably never paid for or credited) 2. Harp on nostalgia. 3. Complain about 'how the good ol' days were'. 4. Attempt to be hippy by decrying modern necessities 5. Attempt to be modern by condemning 'dumb adult stuff'. This is such a basic-tier level of psychology I won't even bother to explain why it works -it should be freakin' obvious.
Even though I agree with you on the premise of the video, you should avoid Ad Hominem attacks like calling him “retarded” it’s not a great way to critique. Attack the ideas not the person because you’re more mature than that
This kinda hurt to watch knowing who gamertron is as a creator (not remotely personally but as a person who can tell how good a person is to me within an hour usually at most) and gamertron this I personally don't want to you to do this on your channel again because as you put it you are bullying someone which you had a point to in the end (which can be taken a couple different ways but that's fine) which I respect but gamertron you are better and this video could have been done differently still adressing the concept you wanted adressed but there were so many better options than just being a bully and I hope you know that - a recent and loyal fan who hopes you listen to their comments once and a while

@@Flourikum AAA = "You either deal with Greed or if you're lucky, then you'll find a great game." Indie = "You either deal with Asset Flips or if you're lucky, then you'll find a great game." Both ends of the spectrum has its problems.
siddhesh pillai I fully support capitalistic decisions. I just want realistic fps games that are well optimized and run on an advanced engine with good graphics.
I got stuck on his statement about him buying the $100 version of Destiny 2 and admitted he never played the first one yet complained about enemies from the first Destiny he never encountered before.
First, before I watched, I thought you would roasted The Act Man because of the thumbnail. But unexpectedly, you respected him. Thank you. You deserved my like. For me, the gaming got more expanded, innovative and easier to access because there are many tools that can be used for indie studios. More people involved in development of games means more ideas. The internet also make the people who are not passioned in gaming play them and made profits for companies. But at the same time, the monetization of some games got more aggressive than before, such as adding lootboxes in high priced games.
I won't lie and say the fact that everyone who talks mad shit about modern gaming and never beings up how good indie games are is really heartbreaking as someone who wants to make indie games in the near future. Also that line what Bombfetti said made me wanna blow my brains out with a MAGNUM .44
Remember this is a “dude bro” who only plays COD and sports games. He just plays what’s popular and never thinks for himself. Guys like this are everywhere, they don’t even piss me off anymore. Btw I feel sorry for his family they probably have to do “dumb adult stuff” to keep him up.
If you seriously don't see what an utter exploitative, corporate clusterfuck modern gaming has become, you're either blind or bought out by those game companies.
Funny how the things brought up in the video can be valid arguments to how games have changed. Even the part about being an adult with responsibilities had it been a more general argument against unfinished games worsening the experience for those who what some time to escape the stresses of adulthood. This to me was just laughable yet sad. He needs a therapist to deal with personal issues because gaming obviously isn't helping him.
All I'm gonna say is people need to start thinking for themselves and actually analyze what they are listening to. 800 like for his own personal shit opinion and not once did he mention any indie games where there are tons of new and original experiences to enjoy.
There's not actually a decline of gaming but we as people who play video games just got ungrateful as time passed, people are just living in denial that the game they played 8 years ago was better than any other games which are offered to us now.
This dude might have a serious case of depression and an incredible amount of delusions in life to talk of something so trivial, ridiculous and forgettable like it was a decline of a entire industry. Also, do this guy knows that there are a lot more of good games than the "aways the same" AAA titles and that are games totally rebuilt by their communities by PURE PASSION AND LOVE?! Seriously, if there is one thing in gaming in general that rivals the cancer that is SJW and Leftist culture, that is the pessimistic, brainless bunch of Peter Pan kids of 20+ years old that cannot tackle the fact that their lifes are their own responsibility now and that they have to fight to make it become something meaningful for themselves! I hope that it starts to change at some point, because those people are a threat for themselves with this line of thinking...
The world is not nearly as PC as people like to complain it is, and even the obnoxious twitter peeps who care about that stuff are fairly easy to avoid if you aren't looking for them all the time. Quit conjuring up SJW boogeymen and leave left-winged folks out of it.
@@GIR177 I just mentioned them as something annoying to deal with. Of course that I don't them in general in a good light, but the focus was to complain about the Peter Pan Syndrome kids.
So the whole point of this video was him getting mad because he's older and his friends don't want to play video games with them because they probably have girlfriends kids and or other responsibilities 🤣🤣🤣 GTFOH
Okay, I'll pay that it's a poorly made video and his problems seem to be more about life as an adult than gaming itself. That said, he had some quite legitimate complaints about AAA companies and frankly seems like he's got depression. Personally this response seems pretty excessive, you're better than this.
Dude BombFetti I feel the same way sometimes about not being able to play with your friends anymore but what in the actual fuck does all that garbage have to do with the gaming industry? Or gaming in general?!
The dude's having a pre-midlife crisis. We've all been there to a certain degree. The nostalgia and peterpan syndrome is at its absolute effectiveness in those stages. Can't wait to see him throw his gaming equipment and trash his room, if not his whole house, when he gets to the climax of midlife crisis.
I really hate the “they don’t make games like they used to anymore” argument So just because there’s Microtransaction In some games now, and more profit to make from this Industry, that means the whole Industry Is declining? that’s weird.
all his points deal with the worst parts of the modern AAA space. ignore the indie, AA, and the good side of AAA. also hes blinded by nostalgia of days past. his tastes have changed his life has changed also most of those old games can still be played today.
Don't get me wrong there are bad games, and horrible releases, but that happens. That fucking happens, yes a lot of companies have become absolutely corrupted, like game freak. Lying about their models, basically selling back pokemon to you in dlc, and releasing a game that is just ridiculously glitchy. Yes this is bad, but hey, learn to fucking articulate yourself. Seriously, articulation is the most important factor into this kind of video.
I will say that a game bot being approachable isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that can be a mark against a game. It depends on the scale of market a game is hoping to reach. For anyone who has never played a card battling game, Slay the Spire can be a goddamn brick wall to get into without some kind of introduction to the genre. It's also a really well made game. "Not approachable" can simply mean the game in question has a high skill floor. (Not a defense of the video, so much as just pointing out that this particular point isn't necessarily a contradiction.)
i was confused when you talking about act man . i am sup to both of you and i think you both have good opinion when come to subject like this and i know you both take time to think about it and not bias and you state it if you are . what i know gaming now is more advance and dev have ton of useful tools to make better game and the rise . in looking in while . gaming is in much better state than it was . tho when a thing get big you will get bad thing making it less then it look . that why i advise people to check and try more games . variety is spice of life . check the game first see some videos . see the user reviews to get idea how the community feel about the game then if everything is good . then buy it.
I really disagree with how you handled this video. In the past you would call out people when they contradicted themselves. You assumed they had good intentions whilst countering their arguments in a fair manner (E.G. th-cam.com/video/0jkw10Ho9uo/w-d-xo.html). I agree that BombFetti contradicts himself multiple times and wrongly accuses the gaming industry for how he feels. But his calm demeanor leads me to believe he has a valid point to make here but doesn't know how to word it. He sounds frustrated rather than angry when he talks about how his life used to be and I sympathize with that. As gamer's I wonder how much the "Games as a service model" has helped push our mindset and enjoyment of video games away from simple enjoyment, and more to a "I need to get this thing ASAP" mentality. Using climbing a mountain as an analogy to playing video games , I remember a time when I found more pleasure in the act of doing it. Getting to the mountains peak was a bonus and an after thought. But games nowadays (let alone adult hood) pushes us to the mindset of "Get to the peak! That's all that matters!". I feel as if I must retrain my mind to enjoy the simple act of climbing. A recent example of this in the gaming community was the massive botting issue on Halo MCC for PC. Cosmetic's caused no change in game play yet gamer's felt the need to "get to the peak" as fast as possible and not enjoy the game for what it was. I really wonder if this is how Bombfetti truly feels and doesn't know how to word/express it. Also, this is his first video of this format. He hasn't done hundreds of videos lying and spreading false narrative. I understand how his statement of "dumb adult stuff" is offensive but we should not attack and invalidate him entirely if that's how he, and 800 other people feel. There's no need to negatively escalate this situation by calling him, or his audience morons. I hope the gaming community as a whole can help people like him find meaning and enjoyment in the adult world alongside video games (E.G. HealthyGamerGG th-cam.com/channels/lHVl2N3jPEbkNJVx-ItQIQ.html ). Because not everyone currently has a desire to go to college, not everyone has the desire to make more of their life. They feel stuck and we need to figure out how to help. That's what this video should have been about. Because I love the kind heartedness I see in your other videos, and I desperately wanted it here.
Agree he should be called out for the final couple things there, the peter pan syndrome and hypocrisy of getting Overwatch 2. That's a wee bit too harsh though. He's pathetic, not malicious.
Act man provided a lot of good points. It ultimately there has always been negatives to every generation. Overall it’s pretty good. Can’t say the same for that goddamn circlejerk of a comment section.
BombFetti hasn't heard of the infamous E.T. game has he? Hope you don't get too salty though, Ryan. Your blood pressure sounds high enough already, between schmexy VA's and then dealing with idiots, lol. . . . I've got nothing to say about his "big complaining statement" though, just, yeah, wow, hmmm, okay then. Life is fucking complicated, deal with it.
ok first off great video . i was wondering did this bomb guy get dropped on his head when he was a boy because all the stuff that was talked about takes only minuts to look on the net . as a final note just because we Canadians are nice most of the time doesn't mean we cant be brutal in our judgements at times we just tend to chanal most of our darkness into our country's bird i bet you know the one . hint its on our loony as a side note i personally never played destiny and i have herd of it along with a number of the other games he talked about also just because you don't play the game doesn't mean you don't know the game and i don't think bomb can get that fact into his tiny brain
Man, TH-cam videos have really dropped n quality, there are still a lot of great videos, but they all suck. Like remember TheGamerTron? I wonder where he went before the war....man, such dumb things are dumb, right?
I hope this doesn't come off as terrible or anything Ryan, but I'm glad you haven't gone to college. Colleges and University are cesspools of toxic PC culture and "diversity" forced spaces that train people to hate themselves and there countries. Had you gone to one of these, I fear you would not be here today to entertain us and bring awareness to aspects of the videogame industry we might otherwise never have been exposed to. So, at least for me, I'm grateful things have turned out this way. Peace.
I've watched the video, I understand some of his points but the video is poorly constructed. That video should be objective but it became subjective due to lack of facts and even blamed his friends for their life choices. A lot of contradictions, poorly constructed sentences and references especially "stagnant" haha that made me laugh though because what i think he meant is the game not the players. Finally the video lacks proper stages or transitions in w/c the viewer can be confused on the subject matter being discussed. I understand some of his points but with a lack of data I disagree with him because I actually played some of the games discussed (example: days gone) and i enjoyed it. The Act Man did it better.
2 sentences in i'm impressed how someone who sounds so stupid can keep a semi famous youtube channel running with low effort shit memes. He literally can't form clear sentences even when he has a script, i don't want to imagine what stuff he says when he runs his mouth.
Or you probably didn't finish the video? Because the video of Bombfetti is really dumb and so immature and you will immediately understand Ryan if you're prioritizing life than playing all day long.

Video games are meant to be a hobby and meant to be fun and as Reggie Fils Aime himself once said (bless that chad of a man) "If its not fun, why bother?"
Pessimism unfortunately sells on youtube and its kinda sickening and it brings a mentality to minds of people to just trust the word of a person before forming their own opinion, however it is sometimes good to believe word of mouth from friends on their experience of a game, if you have a close buddy who just got a game recently thats super good and they really want you to try, wait for a sale or buy full price and give it a shot and see what you like, what do you have to lose?
Search "Léo Major" if you want to find a canadian with huge balls.
1. Add sad dramatic music (probably never paid for or credited)
2. Harp on nostalgia.
3. Complain about 'how the good ol' days were'.
4. Attempt to be hippy by decrying modern necessities
Attack the ideas not the person because you’re more mature than that
Me before I see the video: Huh, Ryan made a new video guess i'll check.
Me after I see this video: Damn right Ryan!!
This kinda hurt to watch knowing who gamertron is as a creator (not remotely personally but as a person who can tell how good a person is to me within an hour usually at most) and gamertron this I personally don't want to you to do this on your channel again because as you put it you are bullying someone which you had a point to in the end (which can be taken a couple different ways but that's fine) which I respect but gamertron you are better and this video could have been done differently still adressing the concept you wanted adressed but there were so many better options than just being a bully and I hope you know that
- a recent and loyal fan who hopes you listen to their comments once and a while
That's fair. I understand where you're coming from.
I love these types of videos
I like this version of gamertron
But to keep the spiciness intact you would have to do this rarely
Doing it all the time will make it lose the spiciness and make you look like an actual asshole
You made alot of good points in this video Ryan i imedaitley clicked the link to Bombfettis video and pressed that dislike button and wrote a pretty mature comment in that videos comment section. Im 18 years old i think even i am more mature that Bombfetti
Dem's fightin' words, sir ;)
Nah I know you're a pretty mature cat, Tailgate.
I think that video popped up just to make him have a stroke... think TH-cam is trying to kill off the game related creators
What happening to current genaration.

AAA is mostly still dog shit with diamonds in the rough like DOOM and Cyberpunk (hopefully) and indies... indie.

AAA = "You either deal with Greed or if you're lucky, then you'll find a great game."
Indie = "You either deal with Asset Flips or if you're lucky, then you'll find a great game."
Both ends of the spectrum has its problems.
siddhesh pillai I fully support capitalistic decisions. I just want realistic fps games that are well optimized and run on an advanced engine with good graphics.
Fuck Gears 5.
I got stuck on his statement about him buying the $100 version of Destiny 2 and admitted he never played the first one yet complained about enemies from the first Destiny he never encountered before.
Drinking game idea: Take a drink every time Bombfetti says “Remember that game”, probably be wasted by the time the video is over lol.
Jesus Ryan O_O You Completely Murdered That Guy!!!!!!! I haven't seen you this angry before.
22:01 that's how I used be I got a full time job but my perception of life has changed.
Well I.... Didn't have a headache...
Nice work with the video awesome as always
If you seriously don't see what an utter exploitative, corporate clusterfuck modern gaming has become, you're either blind or bought out by those game companies.

“Stop he’s already dead”

Hey what charge blade is that
Funny how the things brought up in the video can be valid arguments to how games have changed.
Derpixon new project is taking to long
There's not actually a decline of gaming but we as people who play video games just got ungrateful as time passed, people are just living in denial that the game they played 8 years ago was better than any other games which are offered to us now.
Hearing gamertron say retarted is so unnatural but funny
So the whole point of this video was him getting mad because he's older and his friends don't want to play video games with them because they probably have girlfriends kids and or other responsibilities 🤣🤣🤣 GTFOH
Lmfao life is cruel
Lmao
No it's about microtransaction. Dumbfuckers
DOOM ETERNAL: *pushes him out of the way* Move a side peasant
Okay, I'll pay that it's a poorly made video and his problems seem to be more about life as an adult than gaming itself. That said, he had some quite legitimate complaints about AAA companies and frankly seems like he's got depression.
Personally this response seems pretty excessive, you're better than this.
No matter what you say, I'll never buy recent games unless it's good as American Truck driver.
Dude BombFetti I feel the same way sometimes about not being able to play with your friends anymore but what in the actual fuck does all that garbage have to do with the gaming industry? Or gaming in general?!
Ryan I gotta say, you gave BombFetti a *HARD* Delete this moment.
I like this new spicy gamertron
I really hate the “they don’t make games like they used to anymore” argument
So just because there’s Microtransaction In some games now, and more profit to make from this Industry, that means the whole Industry Is declining? that’s weird.
You need to do more videos like this because this was pretty funny to watch and it's cool how you don't care about demonetisation
This video should have been titled "When you try to shitpost and don't have a fucking clue"
TheGamerTron" this video has over 800 likes" Show
This was a great video, but now I'm going to go watch some of Bombfetti's videos
Going outside, BombFetti, do you remember that game?
The decline seems to be a few of the AAA studios
Ok WHY TF DOESNT HE GIVE EXAMPLES OF 'GOOD' OLD GAMES?
WAS FUCKING CLUN PENGUIN ONE OF EM????
Bombfetti's video might have given me a brain tumor, then that brain tumor got an aneurysm and spontaneuously combusted.
all his points deal with the worst parts of the modern AAA space. ignore the indie, AA, and the good side of AAA. also hes blinded by nostalgia of days past. his tastes have changed his life has changed also most of those old games can still be played today.
I think there’s a difference between lying and being mistaken. Either way. That dude was clueless.
And this doesn't even go into his childlike life philosophy.
Lies could not be further made
Hey, Hi, How ya doing!
Be careful Tron. Your opening statements alone could get you a strike or worse on TH-cam these days.
i was confused when you talking about act man . i am sup to both of you and i think you both have good opinion when come to subject like this and i know you both take time to think about it and not bias and you state it if you are . what i know
gaming now is more advance and dev have ton of useful tools to make better game and the rise . in looking in while . gaming is in much better state than it was . tho when a thing get big you will get bad thing making it less then it look .
that why i advise people to check and try more games . variety is spice of life .
check the game first see some videos . see the user reviews to get idea how the community feel about the game then if everything is good . then buy it.
BombaFett: Memba dis? Gamertron Legacy: REEEEEEEEEEEE
"I desperately wanted it here."
I ask this out of genuine concern: Are you alright dude?

I agree with you 100%. I have totally no idea from where this hate on modern games came from... I am mad.
Agree he should be called out for the final couple things there, the peter pan syndrome and hypocrisy of getting Overwatch 2. That's a wee bit too harsh though. He's pathetic, not malicious.
Battlefield hasn't had a weak entry imo...
Really? What about that hardline, the weird inbetween release, everyone else just kept playing 4 lol.

Act man provided a lot of good points. It ultimately there has always been negatives to every generation. Overall it’s pretty good. Can’t say the same for that goddamn circlejerk of a comment section.
Meh, you aren't that much of a bully.

ok first off great video . i was wondering did this bomb guy get dropped on his head when he was a boy because all the stuff that was talked about takes only minuts to look on the net . as a final note just because we Canadians are nice most of the time doesn't mean we cant be brutal in our judgements at times we just tend to chanal most of our darkness into our country's bird i bet you know the one . hint its on our loony
as a side note i personally never played destiny and i have herd of it along with a number of the other games he talked about also just because you don't play the game doesn't mean you don't know the game and i don't think bomb can get that fact into his tiny brain
Man, TH-cam videos have really dropped n quality, there are still a lot of great videos, but they all suck. Like remember TheGamerTron? I wonder where he went before the war....man, such dumb things are dumb, right?
If this manbaby makes you mad by no means should you look up Plain Potatoes.
Go off King
I hope this doesn't come off as terrible or anything Ryan, but I'm glad you haven't gone to college. Colleges and University are cesspools of toxic PC culture and "diversity" forced spaces that train people to hate themselves and there countries. Had you gone to one of these, I fear you would not be here today to entertain us and bring awareness to aspects of the videogame industry we might otherwise never have been exposed to. So, at least for me, I'm grateful things have turned out this way. Peace.
"Nostalgia....can be toxic"
- Linkara, infinite crisis.
You sir are nitpicking and biased!!! I win!!!
Boring is bombfetti
this video is too toxic gts
Well considering the video I'm responding to is toxic that was inevitable.
@eddie vans Didn't listen to what was actually said in my video eh?
@eddie vans So you think video games are more important than getting an education and employment?
Or you probably didn't finish the video? Because the video of Bombfetti is really dumb and so immature and you will immediately understand Ryan if you're prioritizing life than playing all day long.
