Try to keep up with all the Doss videos, but must have missed something about Leann. Knew she had been hospitalized a couple of months ago, but can someone direct me to the video about this surgery? Wishing her the best for a good outcome and speedy recovery.
Prayers for LeaAnn. And for the rest of the family. Father we ask for a good report from the Dr.’s for LeaAnn. And safety with the surgery. Love yall., I pray blessings over you both.
Glad you were able to protect your guinea eggs. Sometimes you just have to take out things to protect your animals. Good luck with incubating the eggs. Prayers for your Mom's surgery on Tuesday. GOD bless y'all.
I'm excited, but it's going to be a long 28 days waiting for the new baby guinea eggs to hatch. My prayers are with Grandma Doss and the entire family. God Bless ❤🙏
I’m glad you took out that snake 😮! Poor guineas, they’ll get the hang of it soon, I hope😃! Thank you to Retired Ralph’s Rental Emporium😁! Hope the incubation goes well ! Praying 🙏🏻 for Grandma Doss❤! Thanks for sharing Shady Acres with us, take care and God Bless🙏🏻👍🏻💕!
There is no way I would be anywhere close to the nasty long black thing. HATE, HATE, HATE. Prayers for LeAnn, Ralph and the whole family this coming week.❤❤
Well done Kyle for getting rid of the snake. If you hadnt it would of taken the whole nest. You might as well use them as you wish instead of encouraging the snakes to come back, good or bad, i would have done the same as you. The animals are looking good and Bruno is learning well. Shannon has done a good job sorting out some smaller burn piles so you can cut up the tree. Take care and stay safe🙋🏡🙏👍
Prayers for successful surgery on LeeAnne.🙏🙏 praying for speedy recovery 🙏❤️🩹❤️. Both of you are too smart not to have a successful Guinea hatch. 👍. Bruno is growing so fast. Great video. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶
Kyle you were right to kill the snake. If you hadn't - like you said, he would eat all those eggs & come back for more as they lay them 🙏 Prayers for LeaAnn for successful surgery & quick recovery. 🙏 For Ralph & all the family also. Have a great week 😊 Blessings, Love & Hugs 🙏🙏🌹 Love 🌻 from Apex NC 💜
Kyle, just an FYI. We had ticks in the inside lot on the farm where the house was, and the dogs, of course. My Daddy dusted the whole area with sevin dust. It’s food safe, so it should be safe for your animals, but I would sure check it first. Ticks are such an evil! Prayers for LeaAnn. For good results and a speedy recovery.
And I hate to mention it, and know they want the grass for the goats and Guinea's, but think keeping it short would help keep the tick population down...they climb the tall grass and are just waiting for a ride/host. Will have Grandma in my prayers too.
Prayers for your Mom tomorrow, Kyle. Now that you have the incubator for the Guinea eggs, you can get chicken eggs next from your dad to hatch too. Ralph's Emporium has a couple of beautiful roosters and 18 lovely ladies. They make beautiful babies. :)
If you treat these new ones the same as you treated the others, you'll have some good birds you got to be hands on like you were before. You have the best train guineas of anybody I know
Love the video...Hope the guinea eggs hatch out given time....Bruno is doing really well......I hope Leann goes through her operation ok..and gets well soon...prayers for her and all Doss family.....Stay safe and see you on the next one
Once you have a Hen house, it's possible they might nest with them. They have a system so you can see if that changes. They probably felt the shelter was threatened, so that relocated. Hoping all goes well with your Mom this week.🌻🦋
1st June 1st day of Winter in Australia & without fail straight down to 3 degree 0vernight 12 degrees during the day 😳 can only get colder . Id still be mowing around the eggs to help keep tics down. Your beautiful Mum showed us pictures of you boys was awsome. Prayers n love to your Mum & family from Australia 🇦🇺 🙏 ❤️
Shanon when Kyle gets this obsessed with his tale take him into the camper and put a cool wet cloth on his forehead 😁 lol. Turn out the lights and he'll be back to normal. Hopefully 🤞😂❤❤
Hi guys from Scotland. I will give you the best advice for dogs, that my great grandma taught me. I'm 67 so it was years ago lol. Dogs don't speak human. Use one word commands like leave, no, stop, come etc. And use your stern voice not normal or soft voice. When they obey use high pitched excited voice. Kyle pretend you're talking like Shannon. Lol. Give the dog one command. Wait, then repeat. If it doesn't work use very stern voice. You could also keep bag of small treats on you. They sell belts with treat bags and poop bags on Amazon. Every time to start with treat every good reaction from dog . Then move to every other time. You'd be surprised how quick it works. My grandma had a mutt that was rescued from a London drain in rain. He was soaking wet and cold. He was only around three weeks old. She nursed him using eye dropper. There were no animal bottles then in 1930 s. He grew up to be over six foot on hind legs and weighed 120 pounds. He was a huge fluffy teddy bear. With cute ears like a koala 🐨. He was trained this way using bits of sausage or other treat or biscuits. It worked then and she learned it from her great grandma in 1890 s. My family have used it ever since. It worked over many many dogs. My great grandma was one of twelve kids , my grandma one of thirteen. So hundreds of dogs. I have helped train many in family and my daughter's are still using method in their German shepherd pups of ten months. They also are huge. Another tip is , when leash training, if dog pulls, just stop and start walking in opposite direction. They soon learn that if they pull they don't get to where they want to go. They go wrong way. If they walk next to you they get to their place eventually. Also if any animal jumps up , just cross arms and turn back on them. If they keep jumping just repeat. When they get down ,praise in high voice and give huge cuddles. No touching until they stay down. If you stick to your guns it will work. Hope this helps. Much love ❤️. Keep up the good work. ❤
I understand you not wanting the snake to eat up all your eggs in the nest. I do wish you didn't have to kill him, but I understand. Hopefully the eggs all hatch successfully in the incubator, to add to your Guinea flock. I love when you let the goats out to browse in the yard. They are all so cute! Prayers for LeaAnn Doss and her surgery and recovery. Bless you all.
Copperheads and other venomous snakes will "dry bite" at times. They will often do this when biting something that is too big to eat. They want to save their venom for things that they can eat. It is just as likely that Bruno was in fact bit by a copperhead but with a dry bite. Black snakes (whatever name it goes by) generally are not aggressive (as you know). Prayers for LeaAnn and the rest of your family.
Just to let you know, a snake will “wiggle” until sundown, even without a head! I’ve seen it happen many times. It’s just a neurological reaction, I think. Y’all have done a lot of things, and learned bunches! Grandma would say “ya done good!” Prayers always ♥️🙏♥️ And, thank you for the long videos!
Doing what's best for you and Shannon and all of Shady Acres ❤ Prayers for your mom LeaAnn continue and your dad too! Sorry to hear about the hen "Sis". Thanks for the great videos you share with us K&S 🙏
Good Deal, also whoever has issues with what Kyle did, y’all need to realize it’s for the betterment of their homestead tbh. They want baby bird birds and it eating the eggs is not helping that. Also my husband loves snakes, even he would be fine with this. dang, 22 eggs?
OMG every video I’ve opened today has had a snake or snakes hope I don’t dream about any. Be extra careful next one may be bad ones! Have a blessed wk.
I would like to say thank you. I’m not able too do anything because of my health. You guys remind me of the good old days that I could work and help people. I get real bad anxiety from not being able to do anything. I come and watch you and your brothers channel it seems to help pick me back up.
ya might tell Ralph that a good investment would be a grapple for the family's tractors to improve his rental income lol you could use it to clear all the dead fall on your property for sure
Just want to say, everyday I look forward to the Adventures of Shady Acres! I really enjoy your videos,do not get same vibe from Chad. Your love of animals is heartwarming, just watching them brings me a feeling of Peace! Appreciate you both!
Same here, I can not handle the water situation. It takes a few seconds to bend over, pour the sticks and filthy stuff off the bottom, and just rinse it out. Those animals deserve much better. 😢
Glad you took care of the snake. When you have a moment look up Paragon Ridge Ranch when you start looking for chicks 😀, hope you all have an enjoyable day, stay safe. ♥️

Hi Kyle and Shannon love watching your videos prayers for your mother stay blessed and sending love and positivity to the whole Doss family from Queensland Australia
You might want to consider re-locating the next one to allow you to collect eggs. Remember...a rat snake will eat a copperhead....think "Bruno". You have to do what you have to do to take care of your land and animals...But sometimes there is another way.
When we lived on a farm. I worked in a chemical plant where a supply of Sulfur was available. I would apply sulfur around my waist and my legs. I didn't have to deal with Ticks and Chiggers out in the woods and timbers. I did't deal with commercial sprays. Good Luck keeping the ticks off you...
I live in the south. A friend went camping for the first time abs forgot toilet paper so she used spanish Moss instead. It was loaded with chiggers! She ended up in the ER because of the pain and itching... She had no idea it was chiggers...lol
Praying for LeaAnn and your family of course that everything goes well🙏🩷 Excited for y’all to hatch some guineas or “guinlets” as I imagine Kyle calling them 😂
I love you guys! Hopefully one day I can get to where you guys are! Love watchin your channel. I started watching Chad’s channel first but I would have never known about you guys if it wasn’t for Chad. I’m grateful to be subscribed to all the Doss channels.
This will be an exciting time, waiting for the guinea eggs to hatch. I do hope you have a good hatch rate. It will be interesting as well to see if the adult birds accept the chicks since they didn't hatch them out. Fingers crossed. Kyle you should be able to candle the eggs halfway point would be 14 days to see if they’re maturing
I can't wait to see the full guinea bloom ! The more birds the fewer alpha gal demons !
My grandson has had 3 lone stars ticks on him the last couple weeks...yikes..2 were embedded
Wouldn't you think for boys/men they would have Alpha Guy instead of gal?

Oh Kyle your imagination is cracking me up
That was a huge snake! Sad you had to dispatch it, but your right, you can’t have him going after your eggs! 😢
Maybe if you mow the grass low the gunnies will be able to see the ticks better.
