For what it's worth, for anyone who doesnt know, "queer" originally meant "strange, or unusual" but not (necessarily) in relation to sexuality. You see it a lot in older books, like LotR for instance. So if you see a sentence like "Frodo had a queer feeling about the man in the corner" it doesnt mean Frodo wants to bone him, it means Frodo feels uneasy about the suspicious person. So the recent reclamation of the word actually takes it back to its original meaning, or much closer to it, anyway.

this is unimportant but i love when the word queer is used like that, especially in older books.
I love the word queer - it's such a handy umbrella term. So often people only say "lgbt" because they're too lazy to say "lgbt+" or "lgbtqia" - excluding so many of us (for example me, an aro-ace cis woman). And of course it's been used as a slur - but so has gay or homo and pretty much any other term you can think of, and it's been reclaimed by the community since the 1980s ("We're here, we're queer, get used to it.").

In the world of fanfiction (you already know where this is going I see you shaking your head), especially in the region of DNF fanfiction, I often saw authors directly (via brackets or author’s notes) or indirectly (via speech or thoughts in the POV of a different character in the story) referring to George as either a guy with a small, short frame (he’s averagely sized and 5’9, so not that small but it was compared to Dream who is basically a giant) or as a hot twink

84-year-old gay man here who worked as a "male" dancer in two famous drag shows back in the 50's. One was in a nightclub where the waiters were all butch lesbians, so the gay world isn't new to me, but I didn't know quite a few of the terms you explain here. OMG she so cute! Im so happy when I see supportive parents of LGBTQIA+ people. When I first "came out" as a trans women My mom freaked out and that made me fall into a very deep struggle and depression for years, years later it just became impossible to keep "living" like that, so I came out for good and this time my mom was real sweet about it and apologised for what had happen all those years before, now she's my biggest supporter.
