    I have a 56 litre Givi top box that has one central locking point. Interesting the opening set up on your gear.
    Is there a way you can bring your top box forward if you want to keep your bike as a solo and have the top box act as a back rest on long trips.

    • @MikeBaker___
      @MikeBaker___ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! I actually have a solo tour pack set up on my Sportster which doubles as a back rest. Very comfortable. You can't do that with this mount but if I had purchased the "solo" mount rather than the "2 up" mount then it would sit right behind my back just like you described.

    What are the benefits to having that top box open from that direction, versus being able to stand behind the bike, without any of your gear scratching the paint, and avoiding bending over your bike, at an awkward angle, to get to all of your gear (especially if you want to rearrange some of the stuff)?

    • @MikeBaker___
      @MikeBaker___ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't really think there's a benefit at all. I have a Sportster that is set up with a tour pack and that one is mounted in the conventional way (standing behind the bike to open) which has never been an issue for me. This is a remake of the original FXRT tour pack though which was mounted in this reverse style from the factory.
