Although it is slower, I'm honestly not complaining. I honestly prefer that we have tools available to us so that players may specialize in a career/subcarrier or group role.
I understand complaints about the skybox or the implementation of MM but honestly some members of the community are beyond pedantic. However it'd be nice to see them change so they don't have that terrible lead/lag turning or at least tractor turrets. Lastly it'd be nice to see that mechanic that's on the ATLS be something you can toggle to with ship tractor beams.
Even with the nerf to tractor beams I sill find myself preferring the big handheld tractor over a ship tractor beam.
@@ONYX1768 yep, and it seems like the tractor rifle does everything a ship tractor can, so why use the ship tractor?
@@StreakerSix I mean because on some ships like the Taurus it is faster BUT its so goddamn fenaggly. Gotta have the dexterity of a sugeon so it boils down to not really being worth your time.

Yeah, I unloaded my reclaimer by hand like that... once. I cranked out full 32scu containers and just lost my mind doing it. I'll take autoload everytime going forward. They just really need to re-work the cargo pathing... because I wouldn't mind manual if it wasn't so toxic.
The auto unload hasn't been working for me so that's why we just overload and hand unload seeing as even when everything is on a cargo grid we get errors when attempting to sell.

@@VortexStolenName Open All Doors from pilot seat. It's a small opening at the end of the salvage storage deck. 8 and 16 SCU containers barely fit through there. That's why we tried 4 SCU containers that run.
We found it is still 50% faster to use 16 SCU containers and running them through the main elevator.
Those that don't know about the back Reclaimer door must not have been pirated much :P
That being said, they really should fix it
@@TemplarGuardian yes! I'd say just put a drop door like the elevator has. That would probably be the easiest fix and make it useful at least.
We used 4 SCU boxes so we could use that access point. It's faster to use 16 SCU boxes and just use the elevator. 😂

@@pigozz well, this games design, since early 2015 when I started backing at keast, has always intended the player do the work, not just a click and the game does it for you. I'm not saying the current iteration is good, but it's headed in the intended direction.

@@mateoemanuel3517 I had forgotten you could. Pretty sure you could look at it and open it 3.3 or whenever the Reclaimer was introduced. Now you have to be in the pilot seat and open all doors. I'm sure they'll fix that on a gold standard pass when it gets there. 😂

Can you? Is that reclaimer only or do other ships have that functionality? The patch gods taxed my reclaimer finally so I haven't been able to test with it but I haven't found a way to sell with the vulture or any other ship without manually moving commodities to the freight elevator.
It's only let me auto unload once or twice. Anything that isn't on cargo grids won't auto unload, as far as I can tell. Even with that I have had it error out when everything was on grids, sooooo... We just self unload every time now. lol
@@Ellingmint just store your ship and cargo should auto unload for a fee and a very small time cost, 2-5 minutes.

@@betternerfjeff8199 if it's not on a cargo grid, yes. For some reason the Reclaimer only auto unloads around 50% of the time so we just unload it all the time now.
make it free with hangar and have some Epic Livery and Flair for it.

Would it be nice if the mechanic was fine better? Sure. But it's not at the moment, therefore I play the game how it currently is.
@@StreakerSix I have to admire that. I personally didn't pick up a beam anymore after they nerfed a wake of disaster, when salvage was new. for me that was enough scrolling for a lifetime. not picking up a beam excludes a lot of gameplay in the verse today, so you can see I moved on.
