Guys, THANK you for this in-depth review and for the high-praise, I am very very grateful. I LOVE that you guys adore this as it is my FIRST truly masculine scent (after doing 36 other unisex scents over the years before!). I also LEARN things about my OWN babies including of course my Wolfsbane here through your thoughts and impressions, so I sincerely appreciate that. So, let me just address the "Black Orchid" comparison first, just because I do hear this occasionally. First, when I started on my Wolfsbane journey back in January 2014, I had not smelled it as I generally don't like to smell other perfumes (except for taking notes on what NOT to do) given I pride myself on my unique formulations; I'm also honestly too proud to copy anything, and anyone that knows me knows I keep it on the REAL real, as I almost died making these, as I got a little TOO close to the darkness in that process (you can read about that here: www.ravelinmagazine.com/posts/history-seven-new-york/). And to this day I STILL have not smelled Black Orchid. But I HAVE heard and in fact the best feedback I got in this regard, and I got a tickle out of this, was that 'Black Orchid' is the poor man's "Wolfsbane" because she (Nicole Miller of Blackbird fragrances) said mine is richer and lasts longer, lol, which of course tickled my fancy but, well, I'll let everyone draw their own conclusions in that regard haha! It IS from my perspective of course a completely different beast and during the course of the 3 year development, I regularly put my in-progress scents in front of random (especially drunk) strangers at my local bar to get their honest feedback (drunk people are VERY honest if they don't puke on you or try to make out lol and that is INVALUABLE in getting straight-up, no-bullshit, constructive-criticism which my friends might be afraid to say), and one thing I ask is if the recipe reminds them of anyTHING. If we get feedback like "oh it smells kinda like ___ or ___, then I THROW OUT the formula and we start over from scratch! (this is also why it took 3 years in total, to insure this originality btw). So while I'm certainly not insulted to have Wolfsbane be compared to Black Orchid, in MY mind and for the record they are totally different animals with altogether different approaches and meanings (mine relates to an animal and TF's to a flower so there is that for starters). Apples and oranges as they say, since I focused on HOW wolfsbane was used as a poison to hunt wolves (or other people!) and we were trying to capture THE ferocity of a wolf, THE virility of a hunter, and THE rage of a warrior, all set within luxurious but ominously dark and forboding woods (just imagine glowing wolf eyes amidst the purple and black silhoutte of the trees and night sky) and there is so much ferocity and rage there as to be psychedelic, hence the injection of absinth into the heart. It's a tripped-out purple wolf with very sharp teeth!! : ) Anyway, vocabulary: 'Deer Tongue' is a type of tobacco leaf! Rare ingredient! Here is an info link: www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-221/deertongue And then, 'Prunol' is an accord developed by and exclusive to Symrise, my development partner for this project, and as its name suggest smells like prunes. It smells like dried plums and courmarin specifically. Thank you again, Garry and Freddie! - Joseph Quartana, Parfums Quartana

Hi guys! Interesting house! The box is pretty. The backdrop reminds me of the inside of a well, Silence of the Lambs, but without the fingernails.
