    this helped me a lot with technique, my smash was ass and it was due to the transfer of momentum and not correct swing. i train 6 days a week, so after a few sessions with this advice I'm hitting cleaner/more in sweet spot, stronger, steeper and getting that whipping sound thanks for the video

    I think after all.. its the contact point on the racket. If it hits the sweetest spot. The shuttle will land as a bomb into opponents court

    Great video. I'm a back court player in doubles and I do smash a lot, but it sometimes i get a nagging sensation on my back, what could it be?

    • @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching
      @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. First congrats that you found your badminton DNA as back court player. In this question that I assume you are asking about lower back pain. Here are some tips I can give it to you and I would make another video to answer this question as well.
      1. Strengthen your lower back muscle
      2. Adjust your motion --- ( may be your upper body not stable when you swing )

    • @tenzinsamphel4763
      @tenzinsamphel4763 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching Thank you very much 😁 Yes you are right need to correct my swing motion, I tend to generate a lot of power through my upper body and swing with full force, perhaps too much of that has resulted in the occasional nagging sensation at the upper back not lower. I'd love if you made a video on the above, Thank you

    I guess that instead of "hard" or "powerful" smash, we should practice more accurate and deep smash. no meaning in 500 km/h smash if from 10 shots you win 2 points make 3 mistakes and 5 times need to rush to defend the return of your own smash.
    Dear Al Liao if you could make a video of how to make precise, accurate, deep smash it would be of a great help.
    Thank you.

    can you explain to me the timing of the smash?

    • @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching
      @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Kwan,
      Thank you for asking. The timing for smash will be a little bit later than you hit clear, so you will wait a little bit but at the end speed up your motion to hit the shuttle. Reminder : make sure you get the shuttle right in front of you not above or behind you.
      Hope it helps
