- It is my BCBA-aversary! One year ago YESTERDAY, I passed the BCBA exam on my very first attempt! Due to technical difficulties, I was not able to post this video yesterday on my anniversary but better late than never, right? This accomplishment is a highlight in my life that I will always cherish. I've learned so much in my first year as a BCBA and I want to share these 3 important lessons with you all in today's video!

Thank you for talking about feeling inadequate. This is something I have struggled with during my first 6 months as a BCBA. I try so hard to not give off “new BCBA” vibes LOL but i’m definitely not in a place to be too confident yet. I can’t wait to see where i’ll be in 3 years as I continue to learn.

@@rickytherbt3794 hey do you recommend being a BCBA, I throughly enjoy helping people in 1 on 1 scenarios and in small groups, I also enjoy learning new things constantly, I assume I would have to start as an RBT and go from there
I’m sooo happy the TH-cam algorithm suggested this video! I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching other BCBAs create content and show their daily lives or talk about their experiences! ESPECIALLY if they are people of color because there is not a lot of representation of us out there. I’m a BCBA too and I’ve been going back and forth with the idea to reopen my TH-cam page to discuss specific problems and things I experienced on my road to becoming a BCBA. I too struggled with imposter syndrome my first year. Oh my goodness, the stories I could tell!😅😂 I’m about to come up on my 2nd anniversary in November and I’ve grown SOOOO much. Thanks for sharing, I’m gonna subscribe 😊

Thank Mann I’m 22 years old I’m currently an RBT as in 2 weeks ago lol it’s challenging but I’m loving it I’m just happy to see another black male in this field I’m looking forward to becoming a bcba in the future!!
