- The AH-64 Apache is a twin-engine, four bladed, multi-mission attack helicopter designed as a highly stable aerial weapons-delivery platform. It is designed to fight and survive during the day, night, and in adverse weather throughout the world.
After we all know about its sophistication, it's time to see 8 variants of the helicopter:
#1 we have AH-64A
The AH-64A is the original production attack helicopter. The crew sit in tandem in an armored compartment. It is powered by two GE T700 turboshaft engines. The A-model was equipped with the 701 engine version until 1990 when the engines were switched to the more powerful 701C version.
#2 AH-64B
The AH-64B was a proposed upgrade to 254 AH-64As. The upgrade would have included new rotor blades, a Global Positioning System (GPS), improved navigation systems and new radios.
#3 AH-64C
The C upgrade would include all changes to be included in the Longbow except for mast-mounted radar and newer 700C engine versions.
#4 AH-64D
The AH-64D Apache Longbow is equipped with a glass cockpit and advanced sensors, the most noticeable of which being the AN/APG-78 Longbow millimeter-wave fire-control radar (FCR) target acquisition system and the Radar Frequency Interferometer (RFI), housed in a dome located above the main rotor. The aircraft is powered by a pair of uprated T700-GE-701C engines.
#5 AH-64E
Formerly known as AH-64D Block III, in 2012, it was redesignated as AH-64E Guardian to represent its increased capabilities. The AH-64E features improved digital connectivity, the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System, more powerful T700-GE-701D engines with upgraded face gear transmission to accommodate more power, capability to control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), full IFR capability, and improved landing gear.
#6 AH-64F
The conceptual AH-64F would have greater speed via a new 3,000 shp turboshaft engine from the Improved Turbine Engine Program, retractable landing gear, stub wings to offload lift from the main rotor during cruise, and a tail rotor that can articulate 90 degrees to provide forward thrust.
#7 Compound Apache
In October 2018, Boeing began testing the AH-64E Block 2 Compound, a compound helicopter design which added a larger fixed wing and a pusher propeller to the Apache airframe to provide additional lift and thrust, respectively. In addition, the engine exhaust was redirected downwards. Collectively, the modifications were anticipated to improve speed to 185 kn, range to 460 nmi, payload to 5,900 lb, and fuel economy.
#8 Sea Apache
During the 1980s naval versions of the AH-64A for the United States Marine Corps and Navy were examined. Multiple concepts were studied with altered landing gear arrangements, improved avionics and weapons. The United States Marine Corps (USMC) was very interested and conducted a two-week evaluation of the Apache in September 1981, including shipboard operation tests.

A flying Grim Reaper is another great name for this helicopter. Because that's essentially what it is.
Iraqi RG in the gulf war called it “Black Death”
I've told people for over 2 decades now that this is the one vehicle that Im glad that is on our side because seeing it in action u know that there's no escape and death is coming for you. I've seen them in action and it always chills go down my spine once it's computer system gets u in your sights there's no where to run
My buddy in the army told me one of his boys was playing with a laser pointer on deployment one time and messed up and the laser apparently had hit an apache mid flight and that very instant all the weapon systems turned towards his direction & he was SHOOK. 😂 Much respect for this MONSTER of a Hell.
Undoubtedly the best attack helicopter ever built in the world. Even the new attack helicopters from various countries do not compare to the apache, I hope the U.S never gets rid of it.
K52 Aligator Russans,is the best.
Ка 52😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Кусок железа карыто😅
The Apache was initially developed by Huges Helicopters. McDonnell Douglas bought Hugues when the Apache was already flying. McDonnell continued the development and improvement but credit must be given to Huges Helicopters as the creators of the Apache
In terms of recognizability, the Apache is the F-14 Tomcat of helicopters
Morocco 🇲🇦 are expecting delivery for 24 Apache's later this year and I can't wait! 🇲🇦♥️🇺🇲
I heard it still the best in its class!
Are you getting one? I’ve got 2 for home protection. One for my work vehicle and 1 just for fun
@@Jermo7899 Feel for you bro living in Detroit you can never have enough protection
Basically a "real life" BLUE THUNDER (from mid-1980's TV), minus the "Whisper Mode and Listening Devices"!
That we know of…
a real flying beast...
Holy
My favorite aside from comanche and ah-88 hell knight(from patlabor)
the Apache Helicopter should have a missile warning detection so the pilots know a missile is being launched towards them
It has air bags for that
@@mgreen5207 lol you are funny
they have
i know is that what makes you jealous of me that i can new technology to the world & u Hate that
@@jaimeg9700 what are you trying to say
So in the latest version you can drive a drone while flying this :D that's something
You showed a Longbow D model, calling it the A model.
The B and C models never went into production. They actually jumped from A to D in the field.
How do Apache's do against MANPAD's?
send it to ukraine so that it can see some real combat , Apache have not seen any real combat ever. from real i mean real enemy not people who have just Ak-47 so agaisnt russia we will see how it work or fallen crows of the sky
👍
Very soon to be seen in the air in Moskou 🙂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤦
Don't be silly😂
It's payback time, pootin
Bro all of you are children, you guys don’t know how to spell “Moskow” or “Putin”
So they just kept changing the motor and re naming it
Military tv i have a question
If the Apache getting face to face against the euro tiger which one of them going to win the duel the American Apache helicopter or the European tiger any way which one of them is the best attack helicopter?!
what about Apache and russia Ka52
@@Xerox482 The Apache. Of course.
The Apache doesn't have air-to-air capabilities, so, Eurotiger
Can I put the GBU39 bomb with the AH64 Apache?
strap in onto the front of the helicopter with a tow strap, then when you want to drop it shoot the strap with the chain gun.
Chill guys it’s remarkable reputation is because it never came across proper AA
Umm yes it did. It’s first mission in the gulf war was to take out s300’s. Evaded all of them. All done at night flying 50 feet off the ground with no ir. Not one lost while taking out the s300s. Or is the s300 not a “proper” anti aircraft system. Read about it before coming on TH-cam and sounding like an idiot
Yeah that's kinda the point of how they fly the aircraft and how the US uses combined arms....if there's proper AA use the right systems to remove that threat before flying in Apaches. And regardless the value of helicopters is being able to fly so close nap of the earth that proper aa can't really have effect on the helicopter when there's the right terrain.
Why don't the pilots ihave an ejection seats?
Isn't it obvious? They're suppose to die lol
Wonderful question, but answer me this what direction will they are going to eject ?
Then think about the proper altitude to deploy your parachute.
I wish a few of these would be utilised in Ukraine right now as a support system
THE APACHE HELICOPTER KICKS EVERY OTHER HELICOPTERS' ASSES!!! IT HAD TO BE SAID !!!
Airwoof would kick Apaches arse
Using the metric specifications is not impressing anyone and means nothing to most Americans.
Give Ukrain some of these PLZZZ!!
Maybe the Russians will consider that as a declaring of war against them directly and that definitely will light the ww3 fuse
@@waleedali9393 At this point, we MUST ACT! Look at all footage of killed children and other civilians in Ukrain, FUCK PUTIN
@@gertjanses1472 i know and also i want the Rus. sian getting the taste of defeatness again but also we don't want to getting the ww3 started because believe me on one knows how
@@gertjanses1472 putin ( this lun.atic) thinks especially that a nuclear warheads is under his control
@@waleedali9393 Have u seen the corruption in Russia, especially in the military? Nukes also need upkeep, its very likely that most of the ICBMs will just blow up in the silo's their in when the red button is pressed. Although we will neva know because Putin loves his comfy life too much to give that order.
USA Best Kept Secret 😁Lethal Beast .. But needs new moden looking air frame Can this Helicopter get any more Leathal ???!!!

Of these, 12 arrive for Chile in 2024 and 2025, 12 more, that is, 24 Apache will have Chile.
No they won't. There isn't one article that says Chile is offically receiving anything. 🤡
