A lot of folk on here seem to be confused by the various governing bodies of the English game, who runs what competitions etc, ie they don't seem to know the difference between the Premier League, the Football League, the Football Association etc. Stoke played Man Utd in the Coca-Cola League Cup that year, a competition run by the Football League, the organisation Kev Lynch refereed on behalf of.
Man U beat Stoke 2-0 at old trafford in the league cup 1993. However, neville wasnt playing (too early for him to be a first team regular) and Keith Cooper referee the match, not Kevin Lynch. Hes completely made this story up.
How do you know it didn't happen?..you're just another youtube viewer that knows naff all. Most of what he said is actually fact if you research it and not make assumptions. Idiot.
@james_44 I know, as soon as he said StokeCity I knew was false. When did Keane play Stoke?????? People always try to slandar anything associated with ManUtd.
@@FootkerSnooball I’m a Canadian and I know keane was at playing for old trafford in 1993 when stoke was still in the prems, cmon lads. It was a 3-0 win for united are you really a fan or you just like to feel involved, then they played them again 2-2. Simple google searches won’t make you guys look silly
Absolutely bullshit merchants these after dinner speaker's, and anyone who listens to this bullshit, are having the piss taken out of themselves. Once heard Alan Kennedy tell a story about how Tommy Smith flattened Duncan McKenzie on the half way line, all the audience was in stitches. Yet Alan Kennedy joined Liverpool 3 years after McKenzie left Everton and Smith retired, all 3 could never have played in the same game
This is the type of stuff keane despises people pretending they have a story about him.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story, utter bollocks
Great story. He sounds like a man that would be a great laugh with probably more stories like that.
it's made up
Id be embarrassed to tell such lie
Not an ounce of truth in this.
wtf this is actually frighting how a referee could tell such a fucked up lie like this my god
hes a dhead ok pals xxxxx
No chance he said "do you know who i am"😂😂

Roy Keane never played against Stoke at Old Trafford. First hole in that story.
Yes he did. League cup, 2nd round. 1993.
@@funkyrodent66 Don't you think if Roy put in a challenge like that in 1993 there'd be footage?
@@funkyrodent66 However Gary Neville wasn't playing in that match.
Wrong
He did. However, Keith Cooper was the referee on that day. Not Kevin Lynch. So he has fabricated himself into the story.
This is fabricated like f**k as if Keane said "do you know who I am?" Or Gary Neville saying "Book the twat!"...Neville wouldn't dream of that 😂
It might have been a friendly pre-season game or a testimonial. The story makes sense in that context.
It doesn’t 😂 Keane would never say ‘do you know who I am’
@@TheToledoTrumpton No, no he wouldn't

Great story. Shame none of it actually happened.
Lol yeah, Roy Keane saying do you know who I am? Fantasy. GNev saying book him? Fantasy.

Sad bastard showing off to a room full of nobodies.

If he really did come out with that sort of nonsense he should have put the yellow card back in his pocket and reached for the red card.
What a load of bollox
