Atarashii Gakko No Leaders (New School Leaders) was formed in 2015 by Asobisystem. Mizyu (the one with two ponytails) had already worked at Asobisystem as she was a back up dancer to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Rin, Kanon and Suzuka joined her. They do all their own choreography and also create dances for other groups. It seems that their agency gives them a lot of artistic freedom and they do side projects in dance, art, video and Rin DJs. The school sailor uniforms were chosen when the members were all still in school (8 years ago) to show that they were representing Japanese youth spirit and the retro style matches the retro tone of some of their music.
Tokyo Calling uses themes of old Japanese monster movers to criticize modern Japanese society. AG are shown as the saviours of the city and also the monsters and points out the banality of many peoples life before the rousing encouragement for collective action at the end.
They just played to 8000 fans at Tokyo's Budokan arena and completed on a short N.American tour playing in small venues.
Next check out "Atarashii Gakko Otona Blue The First Take".

Otona. Blue One Take performance is a must and a huge hit. My favorite is Koi Geba, they are fun but have great social commentary as well.

To see how well they sing, ck-out Otanoblue from their First Take appearance. BabyMetal also has a couple of First Take appearances. Su-Metal blew-up the internet w/ her vocal of Monochrome (Over a million views in the first 24 hr.s). I would like to see you get back to BM, there is soooo much to see, after all, they started the whole Japanese girl group thing over a decade ago and they still rule.

Bands like Shonen Knife and even Pink Lady came well before BM and both had some success outside Japan. There have been many Japanese women bands over the years, but BM certainly have had the greatest success outside Japan.

You did fine on the pronunciation. All Atarashii Gakko! songs are superb, and they cover a lot of styles, but check out "ATARASHII GAKKO! - Night Before the Exam (Single-take performance)". It's an insane punk frenzy to an acid-jazz track, expressing the frustration every student feels as they try to cram last minute for a test. Most of the lyrics consist of short, four-character literary expressions that Japanese students are expected to memorize by the thousands.

Thanks for the reaction. Pls check out ATARASHII GAKKO!`s ``Seishun So Kirisaku Hado(Official Choreography Video)``. I also recommend Japanese electronicore girl group PassCode`s ``Groundswell`` and Japanese hiphop/R&B girl group XG`s ``Hesonoo&X-Gene``. These 3 songs are truly mindblowing.

Stopping a song is annoying, just listen and then review.
