@requiemagent3014 Destiny has been running strong for 10 years. It's also recently released one of their best expansion packs in those 10 years. A bad economy hurts everyone; no one pays for live service games when they can't afford groceries. And Sony has always been a greedy fucker looking to guzzle studios, so that's nothing new. They don't buy failing companies; they buy successful ones, THEN drive them into the ground.
Man this sucks. I had such hopes for this game and Saber decided to let it die. Thank you brother, you have been a champion for the game, and you pushed me to prove to myself that I can still hang, lol. My only consolation is that I'm on PC and can mod it into what it should have been.
No problem brother. If I would play on PC I would most likely just upload modded gameplay at this point. They had a small window to patch the game but they missed it. It´s over now. Sadly
The damaged helmet on Tactical where your armor has gotten progressively darker in the gameplay ive watched of you. It really does represent this game. The helmet, damaged and blind in one eye like Saber The class, its abilities continuously castrated and brought down when the only appeal of the most generic class was its power The weapons, the grenade launcher to be nerfed soon, bolt pistol never used and the melee is only a parry stick The colors going from a lighter color space marine to a black really does reflect the tone of discussion getting worse And the tactical khorne red chestplate and arm being mismatched still seems to be an issue- The devs are convinced they dont need to buff weapons and can take their time to deliver the most underwhelming content. Well they get what they deserve. The game will rot, millions of copies sold but how many are actively still playing this game without mods. I could easily solo lethal but ive seen no reason to have a meh experience like that and the only reward for that would be a helmet id likely never use once i solo lethal. Theres nothing to strive for anymore. In Darktide i have almost every class maxed out but still have plenty of penances and challenges to strive for go unlock stuff. @@requiemagent3014 I believe it's 12 months away. The devs are gonna stretch it all out to buy time and try to make Horde Mode the best it can be. If Horde Mode drops and the enemies are in the state they're currently in where every single one is a bullet sponge and everything is shit, that'll completely destroy the game. But I believe it'll still be bad even after the full year of trying to make it great. Right now, your bolt rifle wastes an entire magazine and can't kill a single Majoris. In Darktide, almost everything dies in 2-5 shots at most when it's not a boss, a full magazine can obliterate a horde, the Bolt Pistol can atomize each enemies and does a bit of aoe while sounding incredible and powerful. Bolt pistol of this game though is a weak watergun that fails to feel impactful. The big cool factor keeping this game alive is gonna be smothered and die the moment normies realize Bolters in lore are meant to be impactful and if it was actually lore accurate we'd be a third person doomslayer.. not a fucking Ogryn in cardboard armor playing make believe he's an Astarte
@@clevergoblin1714 It actually hurts my brain that this game didn't drop with Horde Mode, it's as ridiculous as Doom Eternal having not released with a Horde Mode but even that game got one faster (within a few months with mods actually which the devs highly encouraged and I believe even hired the guy who made the mod to help make the official horde mode). With Astartes Overhaul the game truly feels like a different animal, bolters are actually powerful as **** and with higher-randomized-enemy counts and spawns it doesn't remotely feel "easier" or even less challenging. It's also wonderful having fencing weapons and parrying work like it did pre-5.0 update, being able to parry enemies in a 360 degree arc no matter where you look, the higher parry window, and being able to do it faster. They've spent more time nerfing shit than they have in adding actual content, which is mind boggling because it's not like we're demanding 20 new operations and 3 whole classes and 10 new weapons a month . . There should be probably two dozen more Chapters in game, Chapter icons on BOTH pauldrons with ALL the chapter logos, there should be double the amount of armor pieces per class, we should have weapons like the flamethrower and Power Axe which are literally in the campaign (Space Wolf Deathwatch in prologue got the axe), we should be able to cosmetically customize our AI teammates and change your armor schemes at those Class Lockers, there should be a randomizer mode like Astartes Overhaul has where every Operation plays very differently (i.e. different routes, different enemy spawns with friendly AI, different sub-objectives like planting those explosives to blow the bridge for the Hive Tyrant), there should be a BARE BONES Horde Mode at a minimum, the TWO whole "new" operations should've been in the base game already-and all new operations should be focusing on other chapters/missions etc that aren't in the campaign (especially some Death Watch shit), and probably more I'm missing. I feel like that's not even asking for a lot either, chapter schemes/logos have to be insanely easy for Saber to design and implement, campaign weapons already exist, customizing our Space Marines already exists thus just apply the cosmetics on X class to X AI class that spawns in, the game already has an AI director sort of akin to Left 4 Dead which would make randomization easy, there's a few parts in a few levels that already play out like a Horde Mode per se which is really all we need (for a start at least), and there is NO WAY IN HELL that Saber didn't already design-or start-those two "new" operations prior to release or very-very shortly after (the newest one is literally a copy and pasted final level too for all intensive purposes). The FACT is, if this game was made in the early 2000's-and they had the same game tech we do now-then the developers of yesteryear would have most, if not all of that stuff and potentially even more already in the game. And the team would be itching to be making even more content, willingly working 60 plus hours a week in the offices because they're that passionate about their product and gaming, because game devs used to actually be gamers who got in the business via passion instead of greed and corporatism. TL;DR This game should basically be what Astartes Overhaul is only with at least 3-4 more operations, more customization, a horde mode, WAY more focus on the PvP, and buffs to most of your arsenal.
