What a absolute beautiful of SydSquad Premieres of farewell for Qantas 767 freighter VH-EFR, thank you @SydSquad for a lovely premieres final time of Qantas 767 frieghter final landing and water cannon at Sydney Airport. That was absolutely beautiful. ❤ Even I watched it yesterday's show as well, I'll always go watched it on replay for a nice memories of Qantas 767 freighter. Cheers, Maria ❤❤ Thank you Qantas 767 freighter VH-EFR ❤️✈️
I watched the other Day & commented on this then. This was a Special Moment for anyone who has watched and loved seeing the B767 in Qantas Service. What a Great Aircraft she had been for the Qantas Group & I bet their was a bit of a moment there when the Pondered over her Retirement Fate. So well Captured by the Team at Sydney Squadron and again Thanks so much to you and thanks for the Dedication you people put into your Work. Regards.
Very well said there John! Such a multi-purpose aircraft will be tough to see go. Operated anywhere from 1hr to 10hr flights with ease and cargo too. Love it!
I really like watching the planes taking off and landing here in Sydney and I get to see the beautiful scenery here in Australia Thank You SydSquad.🇦🇺✈️✈️🇦🇺
Aye i was always looking out when I booked me flights on Qantas to Brisbane the 8:05am flight from Sydney 767 many years ago was my favourite flights there was allot of space and the Breakfast was top notch. Thank you Qantas thankyou B767 your be fave
The old lady is back home after a long time of commercial flights. The landing was a little bit shaking.😂 I thought that the pilot was exiting. After reaching the parking position with accompanied by water throwing I got goosebumps. It was nice that the Sydsquads had the possibility for catching the moment. Go ahead buddies. Cheers Tim, Kurt and Sydsquads. 😊
It was almost like EFR didn't want to land, because it knew what fate now awaited it. Farewell to a loyal servant, we planespotting fans salute you EFR.😢
Not sure at this moment. I read somewhere that EFR had been sold, but also not seen any confirmation. It's fate may sadly yet be, the breakers yard unfortunately.
I think VH-EFR was built as a 767 General Market Freighter at Boeing. It will be bought and have a 2nd life with another operator. A few years ago, there was a video tribute to another Qantas 767 passenger aircraft that was being flown to Victorville after retirement from Qantas. I looked up that aircraft and it was sold and converted to a freighter and still flying.
The actual owner of VH-EFR is a leasing company under the name of Jackson. It has been owned by them since 2013. The original delivery owner/operator of the aircraft was ANA and QAN is the 2nd operator. A good maintenance history with ANA and QAN will make this aircraft a prize for the next operator.
Haha have to remember the size of the bay can fit 747-400's. The give way markings on the roadway must be obeyed so they Fire tenders aren't permitted any closer even though a smaller aircraft is taxiing in.

Very sad indeed, but great memories though of Qantas Boeing 767 VH-EFR.
Definitely :(
Was that its last flight
Last flight for Qantas, unknown at the moment what the future holds for her.
Last commercial flight with QF yes.

Time will tell at this stage mate. However we believe it'll go to a new operator.

So sad, i saw that plane fly over my place a few weeks ago.
Some training needed on how to perform a water cannon salute.
