first look is totally from christian dior (john galliano) egyptian themed runway. i aplaud this person for making the cheap version of the look and that is a compliment because the bags look good. the original version had gold fabric all over. reminds me of trinity taylor's dress that was the cheap version of guo pei's porcelain dress and both look great.
I love how the gold sequined floral look made her headdress out of 2 sunhats. So creative

I'm sorry, have I been sleep?! Has the ballroom scene turned non black now?! I don't think the original heads of the houses would approve since it started for black gays to have a safe haven to express themselves. Remember the ballroom scene started during a very racist era in this country.
if you've actually seen more than one video from this channel you can see that still the majority of contestants in ballroom are black. also a majority of the black contestants mostly compete in vogue fem categories from my observation while contestants from other races compete in runway, face, new way vogue etc. plus this is not in america this is in paris france as the name of the channel indicates so theres more tolerance towards contestants that are white than with the american ballroom scene and there is also a bigger interest from white people like me towards vogue and ballroom culture in Europe than in the US, with the outmost respect towards it. in my opinion allowing more people of different race to compete further helps the community to thrive and people outside to accept the lgbt community and destroy any kind of racism towards people of color
This ball took place in Paris. The ballroom scene is so much bigger than black and Latin people in NYC. Yes you were sleep, it's time for you to wake up!
smoovechi1 I’m black from NY and you sir have been sleep. The scene was founded and will always be black but it’s accepting and open to other people from all races now. I will say the Vogue fem is mostly black but everything else is much more inclusive.

Culture comes in context, America is not the golden standard for the world. And this one is in the context of Paris, which is usually a lot more diverse than NYC femme scenes that are predominantly black / latin (which isn't a problem).
But as I said, this is in the context of PARIS ballroom runway category, something that is a lot more entwined with Parisian high-fashion culture than NYC, which subsequently draws in people of European descent. However, if you watch Paris ballroom butch queen, they are still predominantly black and POC dominated. Compared to say, New Way, which is more popular with the petite figured caucasian woman.
At the end of the day, its still a LGBTQ+ safe space that encourages diversity over seclusive behavior.
