As funny as it sounds we are banned from hanging bird feeders with seed due to attracting bears 🐻 yes bears 🐻. The place your hanging them looks great and should keep the squirrels 🐿️ off them too. You really are doing an amazing job Sameena because one of the hardest things is cleaning up after someone else. Perhaps a small metal burn barrel nearby and burn the really small stuff. I think come spring when you can actually get things growing and see the rewards of your labour you will be much happier. Keep at it winter is no one’s friend most times unless your a snowman ☃️. Chin up, Ali ☔️☔️☔️🇨🇦
Oh crikey - bears - eek!! In the past people have tried to discourage me from hanging feeders because it will attract rats - I've never listened. But with bears - well that might be a different story, not sure how safe I'd feel knowing I could turn a corner and come face to face with a bear 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the encouragement 🥰
You could make habitat piles with the sticks outside in a corner somewhere. Great for invertebrates, hedgehogs, reptiles, amphibians, larger animals, birds that feed on them etc. etc. "Better than it was" is a good phrase to say to yourself. Focus on what you`ve done, not what`s left to do.
Great minds! I started filming my next video yesterday and that's exactly what I started doing (but with a different pile of sticks). Funnily enough my husband is always telling me to focus on what I've done - because when a job is so large I always feel like I've not done anything - until he reminds me of how something was before I started. I might write 'Better than it was' on a large piece of paper and stick it somewhere prominent so I remember it when I need it - thanks!
@@mymessyplot It`s great to hear about the sticks - much better than burning them. Other good phrases are: "It will do" and "Good enough" It takes time and focus but it is possible
Ah mate I really feel for you! We used to joke that we felt like our whole lives were spent moving piles of wood from one place to another and back again and that was even before we moved! I’d be tempted to light an outdoor fire and just chuck the smallest sticks on that as you go to clear them so you can get to the good stuff! And you’re bang on that focusing on one thing at a time is the way to go. I need to get better at that as my mind is always making lists too! ❤
That's a good idea, either that or chuck them on the compost heap or create little wildlife hideouts with piles of sticks. The trouble is, I also know that this stuff makes good kindling but I'm not sure how much I'll need as we've never had wood burners before. Honestly I always overcomplicate things in my head 🤣🤣
Ah - you've reminded me that I really need to do something about the windows of my conservatory - I see insects banging into them all the time so it's only a matter of time before a bird does it. I'll get my thinking cap on. I've just had a nosey peek at your channel and subscribed - your dog is so adorable 🥰
You’re doing great! 💖🎬 Btw have you ever considered adding an amazing Intro, High-quality Thumbnails & some cool transitions or effects to your videos? 😊
I will one day but at the moment I'm just trying to develop the habit of making videos on a regular basis. I'll think about making the videos look better once I have a proper filming routine.
@@mymessyplot That totally makes sense! Developing a consistent routine is key. If you ever need help with creating an intro, high-quality thumbnails, or anything else to enhance your videos, feel free to reach out! Would you be interested in a custom logo or banner to give your channel a unique look? 😊

You are such a champ tackling all that wood! So sweet that you're thinking about the birds like that

The first and hardest thing on my list is always “get your ass off the couch” 😂😂😂
LOL!!!!!! Me too!
