Whoa. Just no. My heart can't handle this kind of nostalgia. I just want to sit here and cry 'cause I miss 2005 and doing nothing with my best friends, and now I'm 21 and finishing Law School, and what the actual hell? How did I even get here? Geez.
Speechless does not even describe how this song makes me feel. Wow is just an understatement of the year. This song is amazing! The original so good, did not think it could be topped. Then I heard this version, and I feel in love instantly. Did not think it was possible to love yellowcard any more then I already did, I was proved wrong. Good Job guys!!! Keep the music coming!!
singing this 10 feet away from ryan key changed my life. this song affects me like no other and has brought me out of a very very dark time in life... thank you yellowcard for continuing to inspire me more and more with each new album.
I've only into Yellowcard for almost two years but their songs mean a lot to me. There are times when I feel let down and I just listen to their songs. It's like the best medicine ever that gives me the strength to keep moving on. Now that for them, 10 years has passed. Although I have not been a fan for such a long time, I am happy that they have achieved what they deserve and they have made such beautiful art together. We love you Yellowcard!
Yellowcard has NEVER dissapointed me. Each album has affected me differently, they are and will always be my favorite band of all time. They were the music to my childhood and me being a young man. Thank you YellowCard :)
This and only one were always my favorites. Something about the imagery of this album being on the beach with a faded picture of a girl, it reminds me of youth and almost feels like a dream world to me. It always brings me back.
I was expecting like, a loud high vocal at the start, but then it was much softer and in a lower octave, really did the song justice! Can't fault how they've done it, it's perfect!
Call me out You stayed inside One you love Is where you hide Shot me down as I flew by Crash and burn I think sometimes you forget where the heart is Answer no to these questions Let her go, learn a lesson It's not me, you're not listening now Can't you see something's missing? And how broken my heart is Take you away from that empty apartment You stay and forget where the heart is Someday if ever you love me you'd say it's okay It's okay to be angry and never let go It only gets harder the more that you know When you get lonely if no one's around You know that I'll catch you when you're falling down We came together but you left alone And I know how it feels to walk out on your own Maybe someday I will see you again And you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend Take you away from that empty apartment You stay and forget where the heart is Someday if ever you love me you'd say its okay It's okay It's okay
I love that they put a different spin on some of the songs..especially this one.. acoustic remakes should feel different, make you feel more of the emotion of the song.. forever my favorite band..
No, he can totally sing the song correctly. He opted to sing an octave down for the sake of making the acoustic version different than the album version.
That's where I'm at right now. Had the greatest two years of my life, and five months after she's gone, I still can't listen to music the same way anymore. It sucks.

I think this version is different sounding but its dreamier and Ryan Key can still sing the higher octave, that's why he had surgery, cant wait to see them in October in San Fran!!!
That's my favorite song ever! I don't get tired of listening to it :D I'm looking for similar songs (fingerpicking, calm, nice singing...), do you have any ideas?
The original IS an octave higher. When they toned the instrumentation down by going acoustic, they needed to tone down the vocals, too. Honestly I think this is perfect.
yeah lol .. dillon should listen to YC acoustic.. he sings like so effing high in like all the songs haha... and the only reason why he went down like 1 octave for only one is cause it would sound weird screaming that song acousticly.. this guy has professionally been singing for a long time and hes still young.. hes got this stuff down lol
i'll give 4) empty apartment, 12) one year six months and 13) back home credit for not being exactly like their original, but there was no reason for ryan to lower his voice on this track. he can still sing, and this leaves something to be desired...
After the first one second, I was like "whoa"
This song always hits me right in the feels.
heres too
I get goose bumps every time I listen to this perfect song
I love how much Ryan's voice has matured and grown over the last 10 years and this song really shows it :')
We love you Yellowcard

2019 still loving this song.

Thanks you Yellowcard. Thank you for keeping me going
Yellowcard has NEVER dissapointed me. Each album has affected me differently, they are and will always be my favorite band of all time. They were the music to my childhood and me being a young man. Thank you YellowCard :)
This song is so perfect!
Yes in deed... :)
This and only one were always my favorites. Something about the imagery of this album being on the beach with a faded picture of a girl, it reminds me of youth and almost feels like a dream world to me. It always brings me back.
Been a Yellowcard fan since The Underdog and this just brings tears to my eyes.
cool story bro
Bringing back old memories :(
I miss Yellowcard. :( please make more songs.
They've had a new album out for a couple months! Lift a Sail!! It's awesome :)
I love the lower key Ryan sings in this version...No pun intended lol...Pure magic.
I was expecting like, a loud high vocal at the start, but then it was much softer and in a lower octave, really did the song justice! Can't fault how they've done it, it's perfect!
I bet when Sean told people he was gonna be a violin rock star no no one believed him...well, he did it 😆
The acoustic versions of all these songs have a different feel to them. A sadder one. Most of the songs on here have mad me cry.
Call me out
You stayed inside
One you love
Is where you hide
Shot me down as I flew by
Crash and burn
I think sometimes you forget where the heart is
Answer no to these questions
Let her go, learn a lesson
It's not me, you're not listening now
Can't you see something's missing?
You forget where the heart is
Take you away from that empty apartment
You stay and forget where the heart is
Someday if ever you love me you'd say it's okay
Waking up from this nightmare
How's your life, what's it like there?
Is it all what you want it to be?
Does it hurt when you think about me?
And how broken my heart is
Take you away from that empty apartment
You stay and forget where the heart is
Someday if ever you love me you'd say it's okay
It's okay to be angry and never let go
It only gets harder the more that you know
When you get lonely if no one's around
You know that I'll catch you when you're falling down
We came together but you left alone
And I know how it feels to walk out on your own
Maybe someday I will see you again
And you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend
Take you away from that empty apartment
You stay and forget where the heart is
Someday if ever you love me you'd say its okay
It's okay
It's okay
Dear Lord... YC gotta be the best band when it comes to acoustic versions. And more
This is incredible. Probably the best acoustic remake on this album IMO./
I love that they put a different spin on some of the songs..especially this one.. acoustic remakes should feel different, make you feel more of the emotion of the song.. forever my favorite band..
I AM the Biggest Yellowcard fan in existence. This song is my ultimate, means the most to me.
Pure Nostalgia

This calm but emotional

You guys are so amazing! I want to see you all so bad, why did your Melbourne show have to be 18+?! GAHHHHHHH!
YELLOWCARD IS BACK!
No, he can totally sing the song correctly. He opted to sing an octave down for the sake of making the acoustic version different than the album version.
Amazing, just amazing.
Essa música é pfta
So beautiful that I must have killed the replay button xD . Yellowcard never fails to impress...
Ohhh esta genial esta cancion tan
Im unsure about some of the other acoustic conversions, but this works perfect.
Yellowcard is really amazing, thanks for your music guys! from spain :)
Love this song!!!
Holy crap this is so great
Thought I was over her, until I heard this.
That's where I'm at right now. Had the greatest two years of my life, and five months after she's gone, I still can't listen to music the same way anymore. It sucks.
Dear lord don't listen to Silverstein or Dashboard then. Or do 🤷🏼♀️
I miss this band.
:') sure does make for some heavy nostalgia
does this acc still exist?
Perfect!!

Call me out

One you love

As I flew by
Crash and burn
I think sometimes
You forget where the heart is
Answer no
To these questions
Let her go
Learn a lesson
It's not me
You're not listening now
Can't you see
Something's missing
You forget where the heart is
Take you away
From that empty apartment
You stay
And forget where the heart is
Someday
If ever you loved me
You'd say
It's okay
Waking up
From this nightmare
How's you're life
What's it like there
Is it all
That you want it to be
Does it hurt
When you think about me
And how broken my heart is
Take you away
From that empty apartment
You stay
And forget where the heart is
Someday
If ever you loved me
You'd say it's okay
It's okay to be angry and never let go
It only gets harder the more that you know
When you get lonely if no one's around,
You know that I'll catch you when you're falling down
We came together but you left alone
And I know how it feels to walk out on your own
Maybe someday I will see you again
And you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend
Take you away from
That empty apartment
You stay and forget where the heart is
Someday
If ever you loved me
You'd say it's okay
It's okay it's okay

I think this version is different sounding but its dreamier and Ryan Key can still sing the higher octave, that's why he had surgery, cant wait to see them in October in San Fran!!!
well said
Dude....what?! This is boss. Like, I can't deal. This sounds so amazing
That's my favorite song ever! I don't get tired of listening to it :D
I'm looking for similar songs (fingerpicking, calm, nice singing...), do you have any ideas?
Back home
Clairvoyance or navy blue by the story so far
Still here
At 2:38 I can't believe how good that sounds, can't wait to hear view from heaven
wow...
I like this version, but it would have been cool if he had gone up an octave :P
Exactly what I was thinking, but a breathtakingly gorgeous song nonetheless. :)
I think a lower octave brings that dark effect with acoustic.....I love this version....
I like that its in a lower octave I feel it would be to whiney they are punk not pop.
The original IS an octave higher. When they toned the instrumentation down by going acoustic, they needed to tone down the vocals, too. Honestly I think this is perfect.
my childhood.
wow
yeah lol .. dillon should listen to YC acoustic.. he sings like so effing high in like all the songs haha... and the only reason why he went down like 1 octave for only one is cause it would sound weird screaming that song acousticly.. this guy has professionally been singing for a long time and hes still young.. hes got this stuff down lol

EMPTY APARTMENT!!!!
How does this masterpiece be left undiscovered?
was that supposed to make sense?
Does anybody know where to find the tabs to the acoustic version of this song?
was looking for it too :(
*♥*
"Maybe someday I will see you again
And you'll look me in my eyes and call me your friend"
I'm officially over with my depression, after 2 years
Like this one :3
The newest comment on here is 5 years ago. Man life was good back then.
i'll give 4) empty apartment, 12) one year six months and 13) back home credit for not being exactly like their original, but there was no reason for ryan to lower his voice on this track. he can still sing, and this leaves something to be desired...
Uh, nohohohoho... Ryan Key has one of the best ranges in rock, Only One has some of the best vocals I've ever heard
