Yes,I posted this comment after Poppy Playtime 3 came out anyway so I have a theory: so you know in Poppy Playtime 3 Dogday dies of the smiling critters and he has the opposite necklace Catnap has, and in that episode of smiling critters, Catnap makes them "fall asleep" maybe Dogday can fight it but the other critters can't so there for the other critters are under Catnaps control and Catnap sent them to kill Dogday
