Patrick's voice has really improved holy shit. I mean he wasn't bad in this, but there was definitely room for improvement. Now, he's just mindblowingly good live. Practice makes perfect, I guess.
Joe is doing whatever he usually does, Patrick is being a god being able to play rhythm while maintaining an amazing voice, and Andy is proving why he's one of the best drummers to come out of this scene. Then there's Pete, I don't even know if he even can play bass.
10 years ago and I’m still in love w/ F.O.B. Crazy to say. I went into the Metal scene 4 years ago and haven’t really gone back like this in a while until a manager threw me back when he played this and asked me if I remembered it at all. Much love to you for throwin me back to these classics, Marcus. 🙏🏼
+Welcøme! tø The Phan Parade Out Boy actually you can see he's playing a lot of the lead parts, he plays lead a lot so basically without Patrick, the guitar wouldn't hold up.
Patrick and Joe switch around being lead and rhythm guitarists quite a bit. Usually during live performances, Patrick does lead, and in the studio, Joe does lead for recording sessions. It also depends on the song they are playing for who does lead. They don't like being just lead or rhythm, they like to share amongst each other.
My friend downloaded this album off limewire recently after this came out; he ended up getting the live version of most of the songs and I hadn’t heard the actual albums until recently. I’m so used to these that I have I bias toward them over the album versions. Side note, its absurd how good he sings live that I thought it was an album version.
Please give Joe and Andy more appreciation. Joe is the reason that we have this amazing band. Just imagine if Andy forgets a part. The whole song would be ruined. No idea how they can remember all these beats. Don't pick favourites!!
amazing. just.......SOOOOO AMAZING. i keep thinking that this isn't live, 'cause it's just too good, but i know that it's live, 'cause they just ARE when live. still lovin' 'em.
@DrewBlue86 because Pete made the band and writes all the songs and owns his own record label and his own clothing line. And Pete is always talking about how great of a singer Patrick is. So Pete kinda does deserve a lot of the credit.
@MetalDogExtended the job of the others are rhythm guitarist and bass guitarist. the reason the mikes are there is probably because they didnt just perform this one song at the AOL session, and the others would've had backing vocals.
There newer stuff sounds just as good as tgere older stuff they are just keeping up with the times. Look at nickelback there newer stuff is better than some of there older stuff.
Nicky kun their two most listened-to tracks are alright (forgot the names) but most of their stuff is just powerchords and the same thing over and over, they can't be compared to the creativity of FOB songs
Patrick ; Writes the music . And plays guitar amazingly Pete; Writes Lyrics and plays the bass pretty well. and puts on a show with joe Joe; is good on guitar and puts on a show Andy; Face it Andy is a killer drum player.
Definitely not auto-tuned.. if it sounds weird, it's only because they played 4 or 5 songs during that session, Patrick is just tired and his voice is strained. Fall Out Boy doesn't use auto tune anyway, what do they need it for?
I like the band but, if he gets tired after 5 or 6 songs that's not very good. a lot of bands play an hour a set for 4 hours or more. I like their music though!
stewincubus Over the hiatus, Patrick, lost over 60 pounds. He says now that he can sing better, he has more energy, and his voice isn't as strained when singing for extended periods of time. The do have a great sound, tho. :)
i defended fob on another song but there is clearly autotune used in this song at just around the 36-38 second mark when pat sings a whole flurry of notes, you can hear 2 notes at the same tim, and unless he was doing some kind of wierd kind of singing technique, its kinda hard two sings two pitches very close together at the exact same moment.
Alot of FOB's songs are really taxing on anyones voice, they often have a few different pitches in each song and Patricks often singing at the top of his lungs so I wouldn't be surprised if he got tired! But what does it matter anyway? Just enjoy the music!
This guys voice, and playing lead at the same time? Unreal talent
i spent my day watching live sessions of fall out boy and regret nothing
Same tbh
Same bro
Haha, same
Same
by the length of your reply, they could probably make that into a song title.
What I FUCKING LOVE about patrick is his voice practically sounds EXACTLY the same on the album! Not many bands can do that nowadays ;)
Totally
+will baldwin Like P!ATD and MCR?
+Psycopath Watch ITS NOT SHIT
THEY ARE AMAZING YOU DEAF HATER
You can thank autotune for that
He used auto tune in this performance
Patricks voice is so phenomenal.
Patrick's voice has really improved holy shit. I mean he wasn't bad in this, but there was definitely room for improvement. Now, he's just mindblowingly good live. Practice makes perfect, I guess.
And the weight loss makes him sound better too
Cathal Mullin Is that a fact?
***** Yeah, he really improved during that era. I'm just glad he finally found himself and started being more confident. He really is talented.
Agree wholeheartedly, I thought I was alone in this world.
Amazing Patrick Stump improving n being himself n.I.hope.too
I miss Joe spinning around the stage, and Pete licking guitars...
Pete at 2:40 "THIS IS MY BASS! EVERYBODY LOOK AT MY BASS! MY BASS!"
AHAHAHA OMG PETE
Delphine Joyce This is my bass my bass is amazing
it's not a bad bass
øcat321 u are gr8👌👌😂😂
thanks
Joe is doing whatever he usually does, Patrick is being a god being able to play rhythm while maintaining an amazing voice, and Andy is proving why he's one of the best drummers to come out of this scene. Then there's Pete, I don't even know if he even can play bass.
Yet another reason why fall out boy is my favorite and Patrick is my favorite artist
I'm so happy Patrick gained more confidence, it's lovely to see him running all over the stage like it's all his now.
how can he sings while he´s playing that rhythm
Practice
and lead.
because he talented
He’s such talented guy
He’s god

Omggggg fetus patrick has a magical voice, he kept it, too!!!! Sooooo heavenlyyyyyy
He really pushes his voice to the limits in the studio, so he has a hard time singing live, but this is an awesome performance !
I really do like the new FoB but I miss this stage of them just a little more.
that long "we don't fight fairrrrrrrrrr!!" with an epic solo.
This is one of the older songs they play really well live...love it
How the fuck does he plays that part on guitar and sings like that? I can't even play power chords and sing at the same time haha
+Welcøme! tø The Phan Parade Out Boy actually you can see he's playing a lot of the lead parts, he plays lead a lot so basically without Patrick, the guitar wouldn't hold up.
+Welcøme! tø The Phan Parade Out Boy he's a damn good talent there's no way I could play lead and sing!
+Welcøme! tø The Phan Parade Out Boy yeah I feel you I'm a lead guitarist and honestly I suck at rhythm, lol
IKR? I keep trying to play that tune and sing it at the same time, and I can never get it right. I'll have to edit them piece by piece
+Cy H I mean just keep practicing I'm sure you'll get it eventually!
Joe is rocking 😊
This 'Faaaair' does things to me!
how the fuck does patrick play the lead guitar part and sing at the same time
He probably has so much practice he could play in his sleep with doing tge same song every show
He and Joe have always switched between lead guitar. If he's not doing lead, Patrick is doing rhythm (since he was originally a drummer).
+fukk tyler i think its unfair on joe tbh
+poehlerbear91 he was a drummer,, then he said,,, "yo, I got a soul voice"
+Happypie life
Time flies
every time i watch them perform i feel like a proud parent at a school talent show 📸
they're literally amazing live
Best live performance of this song
The bass line in this is amazing!!
His voice is so powerful it’s crazy
JOES GUITAR IS ALWAYS ONE COLOR THOUGH!!!
totally
the color of Joe's shoes have the same color with his guitar
2020, anyone?
Edit: 2021, same thing?
Sure
And stil awesome
Yes
Yup
Hi

wow his a good singer

God damn this sounds great Patrick is a fuckin great singer!
I love the energy of the guitarists
Definetely best version.
Change my mind.
Please give Joe and Andy more appreciation. Joe is the reason that we have this amazing band. Just imagine if Andy forgets a part. The whole song would be ruined. No idea how they can remember all these beats. Don't pick favourites!!
this is even more impressive considering he's playing two different guitarist's solos (ryan ross and chad gilbert) from the album. unreal talent.
This is my ultimate favorite FOB song! I just wish they would sing it more often in their live performances! 😊
It's not that i dont like their new music, i LOVE it but i just miss this kind of songs too much
I’m still obsessed. So much nostalgia.
Joe is having the time of his life
man, i used to love fall out boy when i was younger!
Are Joe and Pete synchronized?
Yes
the combo ..guitar and shoes ..godlike
August 2020 Metro Manila philipines on lockdown 😢 keep safe ! 🙏🙏🙏
@MetalDogExtended patrick is lead vocal and rhythm guitarist, joe is lead guitarist/ backup vocal, pete is bass/backup vocal, and andy is precussion
they're super playing live.

I never realized it until I watched him legit sing outside of a music video, but oh my god I'm in love with this guy's voice. I fucking want it!
2:51 this is very important
Quite a one man show haha, Patrick having to do the vocals and lead guitar!

Look at nickelback there newer stuff is better than some of there older stuff.
but nickleback is shit
Solin Jørgensen Don't knick it until you try it
*knock
Nicky kun their two most listened-to tracks are alright (forgot the names) but most of their stuff is just powerchords and the same thing over and over, they can't be compared to the creativity of FOB songs
Okay, you're entitled to your own opinion
Patrick ; Writes the music . And plays guitar amazingly
Pete; Writes Lyrics and plays the bass pretty well. and puts on a show with joe
Joe; is good on guitar and puts on a show
Andy; Face it Andy is a killer drum player.
BRAZIL 🇧🇷🇧🇷

Elle Claire In short, before the hiatus, Patrick gets strained after 5 or 6 songs because of the fact that he was fat.
i defended fob on another song but there is clearly autotune used in this song at just around the 36-38 second mark when pat sings a whole flurry of notes, you can hear 2 notes at the same tim, and unless he was doing some kind of wierd kind of singing technique, its kinda hard two sings two pitches very close together at the exact same moment.
