I started finding boars as scary after playing a PlayStation game called Herc's Adventure where one of the bosses is a giant boar that breaths lightning and can swallow you whole. Then I watched Princess Mononoke where it showed possessed boars covered in demonic worms. Despite this, boars are still awesome creatures and I like that they can be portrayed as scary. I first got into this movie because it's about a killer boar. I remember the day I first discovered it when walking around a Wal-Mart.
there,s a real lack about every wild creatures that can become very big in the forest . But they seem to concentrate on aquatic creatures like crocs and sharks
I think it was the famous American hunter Keith Elmer who once said that “ A wild boar could do twice as much damage, in half as much time as a leopard”.
They had great films back then. I wish this movie success some people i knew met some of the cast I wished they had cast one character better as they not nice and one reason I do not have an Aussie fav anymore yet another a great Bloke and friendly a True Aussie not a phoney Hypocrites like some there today.
I've watched this before and all I gotta say is, I FREAKING LOVE PRACTICAL EFFECTS! Sure CGI has its place, but I always felt like it should enhance, not be the whole damn thing. We need to go back to animatronics and practical effects with slight CGI. The pig monster in this film was awesome. Go watch stuff like Splinter and Black Sheep to see what I'm talking about.
The beginning of this trailer was fucking amazing, as well as the shots at 0:52. If the movie had that kind of atmosphere, that would be a movie with HUGE potential.
Very Good Movie! Cinematography outstanding! Potential Son-in-law, glad he got his! I know it is a horror film, but fun to watch! Australian horror movies rock!
"It would take more than a rifle and a slug to take it down" That's why you bring multiple people with multiple rifles. Their is always someone in these areas an enormous calibre.
Diosibundo Mastevale. I don't know if you'd wanna eat it, this things got big ugly pussy wounds on its body so that might ruin the quality of the meat maybe.
This could be interesting. Looks like a Razorback reboot... good to see Chris Heywood from the original Razorback in the lead role. The cgi shot of the pig looks a bit shaky though.
In the tradition of sharknado we bring "Boar". Oscar nominee for best cringe performance in both male and female roles and nominated for best special effects 😂🤣😅
I've just watched this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it, its not often a newer horror movie manages to be entertaining and thrilling without jumpscares (this movie has a few, fair warning.) But if you liked the old Razorback you should give this movie a watch.
Looks like I'd see it! Question is this a remake of an Australian movie that came out years ago of a similar story. I don't know the name of that film it does seem similar. When does this movie come out for U.S. release? Or is it already on DVD?
A bit different than what I was expecting, actually thought from the title it would have taken place in Texas (legend has it some feral pigs out there get as big as a cow, would be great for a monster film). This looks fun though, never seen a whole lot of Aussie monster movies.
@@ghristophermyers666 Basically there is a family coming out to visit some Relatives who live on a property not too far from a small rural town. This same rural town has a bit of a local legend thats been around for a few years but no one truly believes it. Basically some drunk spotted a massive Razorback (Australian name for big wild pigs/boars ect..) and it had some dead chick in its mouth who went missing a few days prior. Now It doesn't explain how the pig got so big, but I'd assume its been on the roids however its got big coconuts so maybe not. Anyway this pig just starts hunting and eating people left right and centre in brutal and gory fashion (the good stuff) so our family from the beginning gets caught in this things hunting grounds and its essentially them trying to survive. Compared to the old razorback film i'd say this one held up pretty well all things considered. Soz if its a bit long ;)
Holy fuckk i stream it with my friends its a best movie i have ever watch I recommend u guys if u guys have a strong heart then go and watch this fucking boar mpvie its really amazing lots of suspence❤
The largest mammalian predator ever discovered was a prehistoric boar / warthog and it was the top predator during its era , it was even scarier and larger than this one in the movie
im pissed because i had a book idea back in 2012 or 2014 about a gaint boar killing people, so yeah im pissed because a remembered ii had that idea not to long ago and started a book, btw i had never hear of any movie or book about a giant boar. i wish i knew about patent law when i was 12
can't wait to see this! Razorback was one of my favorite movies growing up, I'm glad to see the big pig genera hasn't been lost.
How old are ya mate?
@@richardgomez1151 probably grown up now
Are ya achin' for some bacon? He's a big pig. You can be a big pig too. OY!!
John Jarratt is one of my favourite Aussie actors, cant wait for this film :)
Hope we see a Wolfcreek 3.

Well boars are actually scary, you dont believe till you see how big they are in person
There's a real lack of killer pig horror movies.
razorback? hogzilla?

It's Ganondorf in his Boar Form.

@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 At last! I found one! A person to make a LOZ reference!
this looks like an updated version of the classic "Razorback" which was a hell of a movie for its time

@@adamyogiesthaiman2688 yes razor back this movie is a new not out many years ago . Razorback is a cukt classic from 84.
Rip of razor back
this looks like a remake of "razor back" or at least very inspired from it
True, which is a good thing.
+brian060983 , Doesn't look like they've done it justice.
Idk, I like the original but let's be honest it wasn't amazing so maybe it will be good. At least make a little more sense
Looks like its even got some of the original cast from Razorback in it... Chris Haywood and what looks like the original pig!
Inspired that's what the director said has he is a massive fan of razor back

This was actually a very good killer animal movie
"I don't have a phone"
Remake of the 80's version of Razor back?
Which, isn't a bad thing, decent movie by all means. And let's face it, boars are terrific monsters.
I can't wait for this to be released on DVD in North America.
This was better than I expected! 7.5/10
Anyone knows if it was already released, or?...
I own a boar and I'd love to watch this movie with my family! XD
Special effects do look good. It's the acting that looks like it's bringing this down.
"It would take more than a rifle and a slug to take it down"
That's why you bring multiple people with multiple rifles. Their is always someone in these areas an enormous calibre.
Finally! Another giant pig movie to rival Razorback!
I'm still waiting for this movie and it's released in July 2016 and now it's 2017. so why it's not there for download.?
I've been told by one of the actors at a convention that it will be out sometime in February, 2018! :)
Not quite true.
Been waiting for a remake
That's not a boar... THAT'S A REAL LIFE HOGLIN!!!!!!
Man, Pumba is PISSED!!😬
God bless the director
nice, an updated Razor Back inspired splatter flick. So, anyone know when is ZomBoar / PigNado coming out? LOL

The scary thing is that Lord Okkoto is even bigger.
This looks like Razorback II ,, great ,, I`ll give it a watch ....
1Reminded me of Razorback, but looks pretty faaackin good!
Was going to say it was a rip off of Razorback !
Well I’m never going to the outback without a gun again
this movie reminds me of the aussie 80s movie Razorback.
Truth be told, this looks good. After all, there's something about blasting the shit out of a razorback, that brightens up my whole day.
I feel saying this.
"Pumba, no! Pumba, stop it!"
looks great, it's gonna be nice to see a modern version of razorback.
Is this a remake of Razorback awesome

It’s pretty decent (weak cgi lets it down and the ending sucks) but Razorback is a lot better
Razorback II: The Quickening
Wasn't this movie made because someone wanted to make a "better" version of the Razorback movie from 1984? I heard that somewhere.
Fun fact: The boar animatronic used in this movie is the same one used in Razorback
Creepy part is that only the size of that monster is not real. I heard that boars are onmivores.
The largest mammalian predator ever discovered was a prehistoric boar / warthog and it was the top predator during its era , it was even scarier and larger than this one in the movie
