Since I’ve seen a lot of people struggle on 1:10, I’ll give a trick to help you cheese it. You can hold the up or down arrow in this entire attack to ignore the orange laser. Explanation: in Undertale yellow, orange attacks and blue attacks are based on input instead of soul position. This is more visible in ceroba’s fight in the pacifist route. Because of this, you’re able to cheese the orange attacks in the fight by pressing the up and down button since you don’t even use the up and down arrows in this fight
@@aannddrreeaass Only killing bosses affects Pacifist. You can do a weak attack on Axis to skip the deflect and continue like normal- you won't be doing enough damage to actually risk killing him if you're only attacking to skip the deflect.
This fight is so hard, I had to go into the game files to make my health 99 and it was STILL super hard. I genuinely believe this is the worst battle from an Undertale fangame for the 9 years the game has been out. Even the Pacifist End Credits are easier to no hit than this

The worst thing about this fight is that many attacks can kill you from full hp if you mess up. The immunity frames are almost none. Loved this game for its amazing plot but it was pretty flawed when it came to fights.

I’ve been doing no items for bosses, and this boss made me quit that…which sucks. I just beat Axis for the first time, but I survived up to defeating both of the generators without death before giving into temptation. But great run!
i know im late but another tip is if you are low on food and axis is shooting the red orbs at you, make it hit the ground and you wont take damage if you have the scarf from the snowman in snowdin you can regen health each turn

axis can be really divisive but i like how he's pretty much the only boss who the "survive until attacks stop" method most other pacifist bosses use feels right. everybody else just feels like they just gave up for no real reason

Quite an easy boss, a couple of hours max. It's actually weird to read that some people don't like that the boss=difficult opponent. It's Undertale, albeit a fan one, but still. Undertale was famous not only for its plot, but also for its difficult bosses. Although the difficulty shouldn't be overstated, it's okay here, the boss is difficult not because he's tenacious or strong (it also depends on accessories).
this took me 15 ( might be bigger than 15 ) attempts to beat axis, and atleast every boss i encountered took me above 20+ attempts (ended up quiting after dying so many times to ceroba )
jeez i remember playing this battle.. i had almost a full inventory of healing items. despite that, the battle was close. i was one hit away from death but i managed to clutch up and beat axis that was a brutal fight.. dare i say harder than pacifist ceroba
