    I was there a week before you. Round trip from KEF though. Dash 8, about 3 hours with 2 or 3 meal services (and bathroom). Super service. We wound up in Kangerlussuak at 02:30 instead of Ilulissat after 2 missed approaches and a hold. They put us in the old barracks for a few hours sleep and we flew to Ilulissat the next morning, arriving after 1 miss and a lengthy hold. These crews are short field and holding pattern pros.

      So I watched three videos in order. I wonder why the A330 from CPH doesn’t fly to Nuuk where the people are? I loved the topography of Greenland. Thanks. Reminds me of Nunavut. But the port in Nuuk is first class. Flown many a Dash 8. I see some people referencing Q-200 and Q-300. That doesn’t exist. Its Dash 8-100, Dash 8-200. Dash 8-300. And then the Q-400. Q for quiet. On my phone I have the seat chart for all of them, because unlike you, I have a phobia about sitting next to the props. So Always know which row to avoid, depending on the equipment flying. I don't really understand the outdated mentality of flight attendants or the airlines when it comes to filming. If the airline is doing a good job, you aren't being unsafe or causing problems/ being a nuisance to other passengers, why bother the photographer? It is the cheapest PR and advertisement the airlines could get and it is FREE! It is those in the industry that are doing subpar service, (the ones that threaten the photographer), and they don't want to be exposed to the general public. It's a good thing that reviews like yours gives them feedback on their planes and allows them to address these issues and again they don't pay a nickel to get this review! FREE!! Thanks, Quentin for your videos. Your videos are an honest review of what a regular passenger thinks of their service; I appreciate that! Happy Trails!

      Waders in Alaska, the flight attendant is thinking about safety first, he doesn’t care about the aim of the camera. He was filming on an emergency door seat, in case of an emergency he’s supposed to open the door quickly

      @WadersInAlaska 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@valen31490 I hear what you are saying, however, I did state in my comment that if you aren't being unsafe then the attendant needs to lose the Kastopole approach to their passengers. Too many times it is not unsafe or against FAA rules, it is just being a jerk and thinking they have the right to be this way with no accountability for they're inappropriate actions.

    • @WadersInAlaska

      @@paulclark4988 You or I may not like it but being in a public area, (in the USA anyway), cameras are a legal reality and 1st amendment rights say it is so. Look at England, China, and many other countries with facial recognition cameras everywhere you go. The days without "big brother" are long gone.

    • @paulclark4988
      @paulclark4988 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes that's so true . I do agree with your first statement that airlines receive enormous publicly from this form of media andAviation Vlogers do a great service to us TH-cam viewers. I must admit I do like watching the Cabin Crew strut their stuff in these vids. Having worked for a Australian Airline some years ago I was always surprised how some F/A's mainly the young one's were so surly and thought their #% €¥ didn't stink. I know the first day of their training they are told how special they are for being successful because of the huge number of applications for the position. Also I feel they may think that standing in the aisle while we are seated affords them a cause of authority. It's a bit like being seated in the bosses office while the boss stands. Anyway it was nice having a chat and all the best in beautiful Alaska.

      @@hzkdsg1257arg No. I used to live a few hours away in NH though. I've always wanted to take that flight but it's too expensive. Over 2K RT!

    The colour scheme of Air Greenland looks nice and resembles the country's flag. Wonder if they also chose this colour as it stands out against the background should a plane go down in these remote parts.

      Its red-white for 2 reasons.
      1. Greenland's flag colors
      2. If a plane would crash in the snow, it would be recognised earlier when red.

    I'm sure Greenland has a great potential as a tourist destination it looks so beautiful and unspoilt and I'm sure the locals would be greatly welcoming of the extra income and jobs but it would need to be very well managed
    I love the Greenland Air livery but I have always thought that the red makes the plane easy to spot should the unthinkable happened 🇬🇱

    I remember flying overhead Nuuk years ago, heading back to New Zealand from London (I know right, doesnt sound logical does it!), at 40000 ft and wondering what it must be like, that it would be great to stop off and get a closer look at such a remote place I knew nothing about, and would prob never get to. Problem solved! Thank you 👍😊
