I am legitimately in love with your art style. Impulse, Gem and Scar kind of remind me of Animal Crossing characters and Grian looks like one of the children in a manga that I read fairly often
I love this. Impulse already had Big Dad energy but you took Gem's "little sister" voice and somehow gave her Mom energy. Scar is still the big brother. Of course, Scar's line, "You never know if you're going to wake up in the morning" hits them all like a ton of bricks because they're legit afraid that, with all of his health problems, one day they're going to get the call.

We don't know much about the condition, but we do know that it's why he's in a wheelchair and that it weakens muscles like his diaphragm and his digestive tract, meaning that he has to use external oxygen and a feeding tube. He's also very vulnerable to infections, likely due to a combination of his feeding tube, the medications that he's on, and the disease taking a toll on his body. Because of this, Scar is acutely aware that every day might be his last, and so he always tries to live like it is. He's a tough cookie, though, and relentlessly positive, so I pray we'll have Scar for many more years to come.

If someone is willing to laugh, rather than be stuck in perpetual self pity and victimhood, then it is great that he has so many people that will laugh by his side and remain by his side.
Gem is always so cute and wholesome and elegant even in her fanart, but then some art of her just makes you fear her slightly... Like she could snap if she wasn't so nice and kind... When I saw this play out I laughed at their intervention. He's only "Willingly" completed a build in Season 8 and that's b/c he built it into the side of a mountain. But your depiction of that intervention is PERFECT!!! Seriously! I've never seen Grian whine so much and it's so easy to see him as a little kid being forced by his family to do his chores!

i love the contrast between the lived reality of scar vs everyone else not being sure if they'll wake up in the morning. the fact that it's just as much a self aware joke as a reality to scar and the fact that he makes light of it makes it one of the both funniest and earnest deliveries of anything i've ever heard.

This is so painful for me ngl. If i was grian in this situation id probably cry especially if i dont have a clear goal in mind. Its like someone is pushing you towards a foggy road and not knowing what will hit u in the face.
It does end up motivating him into finishing his base (not all in one sitting! He does get time) and he realized it wasn't actually that bad and found a way to build the backs of bases in a way that works for him so that's a plus -maybe now he'll start finishing builds-
Same but this is actually really comforting for me cause my parents want to figure out college but I don't have a plan or time or want to do it. It really isn't as bad as you think, to do something without a plan. Sometimes the best stuff comes from no plans!
