Just like you got guys now who are drooling over them when yes art comes in many forms but that does a lot of harm to the mind. Definitely sounds like they could have gone into Terrapin Station during the transition. I keep waiting for it, even after listening to this a bunch. But the Nights in White Satin is insane. Glad they went into that.

I would appreciate if whoever put that stupid ad in around the 16 min mark would take it out! J-lo is not my cup of tea and it was hard to watch pornography with my 12 year old daughter on prime time tv...maybe I'm just old-fashioned. Speaking of old-fashioned and awesome things, these guys are a breath of fresh air. First-time listener - I love it! That's right, there is supposed to be music in music! Jam bands live I guess! Speaking of great jam bands and discovering new things, I've had a life-long love for the band Journey, and just recently (whaaaat?) checked out their first two albums before adding Steve Perry on vocals. Uhm, they might be (were) the best jam band that ever was or at the very least, were the first to really do it great before anyone even thought to call it fusion. I think if you dig this band, you just might dig those old Journey records too. Just a suggestion. Neal Schon is probably the all-time most underrated player, and that's despite the global success of Journey. And for the record, he (Neal) thought the Grateful Dead were great and was trying to be a jam band like them, right up to the point where he also wanted to make some money and added Perry and started writing for the masses - we all know the story from there.
@paul b Yea...I know all those bands...don't really think all that much of any of them quite frankly, not that I don't love them in my way for who they are, or even that each of them don't have songs I love and think are among the best ever - I do - and for the record I think all those bands are fantastic - I think the difference in opinion here might be something quite simple I've been aware of for a very long time with myself and others when it comes to this conversation, and while we're on the subject of Goose I suspect is their big fat problem too (I'm joking - they're awesome). It's a matter of striking a universal chord for the sake of striking a universal chord and striking an odd-ball chord for the sake of being odd. All the bands you mention are off from the center while Journey, and it even shows in their jam band days, were all about striking at the center. My two cents. I'm sure your overly-active-cerebral mind will have a different take - lol. Thanks for the suggestions though and don't think I wouldn't want to hear more suggestions.
