You need to get your little guy a Stacyc 12 inch. My 3 year old started on a 12 inch Stacyc at 2 years old and my 6 year old has been riding a 16 inch Stacyc since he was 4. Of course all my kids started on little balance bikes so the transition was easy. Check them out.

Have you ever tried the "kids ride shotgun" kids seat? Pretty awesome. My 3 year old loves it. I wish I had owned it sooner.

We have had the Mac Ride (which is similar to the shotgun seat) for a few years now. It’s so much fun!
