Sandblasting a narrow boat in a not so dry dock

- Removing Rust and paint so this Narrowboat boat can be restored! job sheet was to prepare the surface so it they can see if it needs welds and remove anything that's bad or loose. probably when the holes were drilled in the boat for the outlets, they were left as raw steel and just rusted away under the paint

I recommend you to a TH-cam channel they have a canal boat that was in dry dock.
They couldn’t get a sandblaster the channel is duo vagari
Yeah they contacted me but the location was just too far for it to be feasible for both parties my truck is only managing to get 11 to 15 mpg 😬

Thank you not sure of size and I cannot remember off the top of my head but I would have loaded the van with a ton on the hopes of bringing most of it back 👍

Hi M. How are you getting on with your compressor fuel system.?
I swapped the filter over and bypassing the 1st one blown the air filters out and it seams to be fine it's due a service on the 23rd of this month and or 23 hours wich ever comes 1st but its going to hold out a tad longer as I carnt quite afford the kit just yet 😕
How's the compressor running now? You don't seem to be having as much trouble with it as you were
I've not serviced it fully blown air filters out and put a new diesel filler on bypassing the 1st filter just to see if it helped out and yeah it's running cleaner and no issues still abit sad at starting when it's 0 or below but I can cope with that 👍 it's got some more work todo before I can afford a service kit for it. It's supposed to be due in 30 hours or 23rd of this month so hopefully it will hold out till I can afford the kit 😬
Would it be worth it to own your own pump and maybe a generator to run it?
No I could make a air powered pump and it would move alot of water but it wouldn't be worth it for the amount of times I would need it
Not nearly enough moaning for my liking 🤣, plenty of room down the sides on this one, shame about the lake underfoot though, years ago you'd of had a couple of YTS kids with buckets bailing the water back over the sluice gates for it to come back through, it wouldn't of worked, but you'd be able to spend a couple of hours watching them grafting for their £29.50 a week, electric pumps, worlds gone soft...

Yes I remember it well! 😂 I was a YTS (Youth Training Scheme) kid and I did sluice a lake (they called it team building! 😮 I got paid £25 a week 😢 (showing my age now) it was hard grafting, but we had a laugh 😂 now I know why I'm riddled with osteoarthritis 🥴 anyway Mick, beautiful day 🌄 beautiful filming 📽️ and another beautiful job! 🚚🛥️ so glad you got a pair of wellies 👢👢 sorted 😂
