Really beautiful organic growth throughout the jam -- Kyteman does it again...And, pyrofiliac, I'm hoping you've got plans to keep the 'modular on the roof' series growing, it's a great idea!
He's got a good rig rundown interview. I just like his approach regardless of if it's groundbreaking or not. The first one I saw was Live at Amsterdam Dance 2016 which was pretty cool.
I'm sure he could have done great with less modules, but once you got your setup, it's not like you are going to remove modules just to impress people with how simple your rig is.
Seriously, getting into modulation can be very expensive, but once you're in, oh boy, it is just pure awesome and inspiring. Just having a box of your full control and imagination and go at it.
At the beginning of this I was half expecting to see the monolith from '2001 space odyssey' to appear out of nowhere, or Chariots of Fire theme tune to start playing. This kept me on my toes for quite a bit wondering what's next, where is it going. Great stuff.
Watched every one of them, and I'm looking forward to the next session. Also really enjoying the Wandertalk jams. Won't be dropping my subscription any time soon. Seriously talented.
Colin is a modular synthesis who makes unique sounds the population can appreciate. Just as Bob Marley brought Reggae to a cypher punk music lover like me. Communication is the real art. Small steps towards a progressive development. One question......what is the eurorack case?
This still sounds fantastic in 2024.
that rig is worth more than the house under it....
Not in NYC it's not.
Johnny Lancia But that guy is!
Yeah, but the building doesn’t make cool noises like the rig does.
He actually has the unit patched into the house and is using the doorbell as a killswitch. Its also powering the neighborhood.
I discovered Colin through this video.
I will be eternally grateful for that, Nick; thank you.

2019 and still my favourite
@@aysecevikel6093 Yeah I don't usually fuck with comment trains like this, but this has transcended music and is like audio feelings injection
Great to see this come back up in my queue! This is how I found Colin - he's a great artist and you should check out his live shows on TH-cam!!
This is my favorite so far. Really excellent composition.
Benders is probably the number one modular synth god in the world right now. He needs to bring out an album and hit the road.
Sawyer Brooks I like his root canel thearapy

Great idea & nice music.
So, did any of the neighbors call the bomb squad? All those wires could've caused some paranoia. lol
I believe that roof is not in Russia and not in US.
It's NYC. The tallest building on the right is The Empire State Building.
Yeah he was in Brooklyn two weeks ago, so I suppose it's where he did this jam.
Ooooo...imagine having THAT as a neighbor :) Soo nice...

One question......what is the eurorack case?
I am just really puzzled about Colin’s ergonomic choice to leave such a huge gap between the big case and the small lower one. Quite mindboggling.
Far too simple of a patch he's got there. I mean, sheesh!
I also want to do this kind of thing.cool!!
This is pretty cool. Making music and I see my city in the background. Do you do these often on your roof?
ah yeah!!
WOW 10/10
such patience...like coming up on a good psychedelic..
Starts sounding like Sascha Funke - Mango at 10:00
epic.
wonder what case that is....
The man from The Netherlands, who 'is' music.
EPIC
omazing
Damn.
Whahouh kiff totale ^^
Yes really cool, just wondering how he keep everything so harmonic and so in tune, a lot of quantizers?
A dozen really small people with really small hands are inside the unit.

Excellent. What are the 4 modules at the top?
Looks like Macbeth X Series.

Tan hahi con sus euriracksss
Noob question: how would you define this in terms of genre?
Vic Tim ok, but electronic music is incredibly vast... how can I find music like this?
try Boards Of Canada.
Those felt laps need a bit of heat gun on them
Increds 4000
12U 104 HP?
wow.. beginning feels like blade runner soundtrack..
Added to www.modularmusic.tv - stay tuned and thanks!
what's the width of that case?
4 MacBeth dual VCOs wide. 42hp each. 168hp total.
