ManlyBadassHero Hey Manly!!...I just subscribed to your channel...I watched your angels of death lp that's what introduced me to you. Anyway your a really groovy dude and I can't wait to watch your many vids on this channel!
Got Ib, Witch's House, and Pocket Mirror vibes from this; I'm enjoying how each segment is split into different chapters. I think I will enjoy this one and seeing how this plays out. :) I know I'm late to this, but keep up the fun games, Manly. God bless yours and you! :)
The artwork is just fantastic, I can tell that this will be a very cute and magical horror game! And me and Manly had the same fit early in the story with all the vegetation surrounding the books!
About the books in a umid place and keeping it together is quite real. I'm from Brazil and a few days ago i was in a place called Angra dos Reis for Summer vacations. The house close to the one we rent has a tiny bookshelf in table in the middle of their garden with only a large parasol covering it. Pretty old books but in good condition. To add more, this Garden was literally in front of the sea and during 3 days there was constant downpours. In my last day on that place i checked the books (it was a open garden for anyone use) and they were pretty fine (most of the books were educational for the little fisherman Village around there i supose) Not gonna lie. The idea of books in such conditions bothered me. But after this trip, not anymore. (Sorry If my english sounds weird, not my native language)

Yes, Manly! That library full of moss, moisture and vines is so bad for books. As a book lover I was genuinely offended lol. Being cutesy and moe is no excuse for putting the books in danger of rot. :)
@8:10 If the library really is in the middle of the woods, it would probably be safer to stay overnight. (Unless the monsters are in the library already)
Hello. I only recently found your channel and I immediately liked your playthroughs. I binge watched nearly half your channel videos in only a couple days and I still watch them as I draw. You gained a new subscriber! Keep up the great work.
Now I understand the comparison to Ib and the Witch's House. Replace paintings with books and add in some instadeath traps, we've got this. Seems okay so far, though the Comedy section could use some better jokes. I'll admit the bookshelves made me laugh, after you were pleasantly surprised the book just gave you a key. The Narrator is also a nice idea given the presentation of the game, hopefully she won't try to steal too much of your credit. I do have to say though, you're completely right about the normal version of the library. All that moisture and plant life would ruin the books. It's a nice idea, but horrible in practice.
18:31 "You'll be fine, I'm guarding you" ManlybadassHero said, laughing as he remembered how he tried to make Aria fall from the books just moments before.
_Instadeaths!!! My favorite!_ Along with evil bun-buns, bears, clowns, dolls, & all the other headliners in rpgmaker horror games! I remember this demo from a couple of years ago - so glad to see the full game. I love those silly deaths & the little gentle puzzles. I'm sure when Aria meets that author of sad endings again, she will confidently say that she is indeed very good at dreaming up stories.
+NaturalFlirtGamer Needs a few witches. -And teddy bears.- *Oh, right. Bear dolls are teddy bears.* Those bookshelves lined her up with the books: Spine-to-Spine. I guess the note she played on the piano was a bit... flat. But of course she had to tell a joke, as there weren't any chairs on-stage, and it's not called sit-down comedy, anyways!
+Thelothuo Lol! The game is like a combo of Ib & Witch's House & these kinds of deaths always make me laugh. I laughed with MBH being concerned with "These books aren't well-maintained!!" The beginning of the Comedy World is giving me some strong Pocket Mirror vibes, from the music to the narrator’s laughter. ...I loved Pocket Mirror, so that’s not at all a complaint. Looking forward to watching the rest!
As a book collector I was also legit triggered by the opening library setting. I am forcing myself to give it the benefit of a doubt and created a head canon that they are protected by magic from the moisture, plants & bugs.
"bun bun" also from from Undertale when you talk to the bunny on the leash. It goes "bun bun" which might be a reference to something else. (Possibly Pokemon?)
Oml I was re-watching this and at 8:30 when manlys inspecting the painting I jumped when he grought the menu up 😂. The funny thing is I didn't do it when I watched this video the first time.

I would think having bun-buns in the library would be dangerous too, because they like chewing on things... like bookshelves, furniture, books... The aesthetic is nice though. Don't know why, but the music at the beginning made me feel like the Legend of Zelda theme was going to play. And then 14:16 came along, and it gave me flashbacks to Blank Dream. Gotta love music and sounds and the memories you get from it. :)

In an Rpg maker horror game your only sin is being a young girl.

Edith Ume of course! You have to sympathize with the main character~
the worst sin
Technically the second one is usually Manly's fault.
How about a teenage girl instead? I'm using a teenage girl as a main character in my game.
