    This is why Pau is my favorite Laker, because he is such a great offensive player, yes I will admit he must improve more on defense and aggression but honestly with how good he can pass the ball and score he is just a beast!!

    Warriors and Lakers are always my favorite teams in the NBA. I hope the Warriors try and get Gasol if he does not return to LA. Package Lee with some other players with him if you have to.

    It really did seem like they were starting to play well. Kobe, Pau, and Howard were starting to play good ball, nice passing being comfortable with each other. It would have been interesting to seeing them play at least one more season too see how it would of been.

    Pau Gasol was a special talent. There are not a lot of 7 foot big men that can do the things he's able to do and that's what makes him such a special asset to the team. Sure he's gotten up there in years, but he is still affective averaging double figures in rebounding and scoring. I will miss him wearing that lakers jersey, but I think any team that has him will make very good use to him. Thanks pau for your dedication and years as a laker!

    Dwight and Pau could’ve been the greatest front court duo since Duncan and Robinson but Howard let his ego get in the way of winning, and it ultimately led to Kobe having to bridge the gap essentially cutting his career short. It all started with Dwight.

    I don't understand how he's good haha, like it doesn't make sense haha. I realize he's skilled, so skilled with his right and left hands that he can dominate without athleticism. Can't wait to see what he brings to the bulls! ...gotta love his defense and passing too

    now we can return pau to the post, finally. we also wont have crappy FT shooting, but defense might struggle. Honestly our defensive stats were better with lesser of players, but its probably because of Phil Jackson's coaching.

  • @MrWarxhe
    @MrWarxhe 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    This guy is severely underrated. I swear, if dwight can get his moves in the paint, people would be calling him one of the top 5 big men ever to play in the NBA.

  • @DiegoCamarero

    Agresiveness or finesse are two ways to efectiveness. None is just better. Gasol is not a overpowering player, that's it. Personally I enjoyed finesse players (Gasol, Olajuwon, Magic, Bird) rather than overpowering players (Lebron, Shaq, Malone, Griffin).

  • @brughther
    @brughther 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Say what you will about Pau, but he's a Laker great. He's 2x NBA Champion. He's probably one of the smartest big men in the league as if right now. He's a point guard in a 7 footer's body. He's great in the post. Great passing and scoring ability in the post. He can step out and hit some nice 20 footers. People call him soft, but he's finesse. Dirk plays finesse as well and no says anything about him. Pau's the definition of an underrated PF, in my opinion.

    YEah...D12 in the league for 7-8 years and has 2 moves... a spin and a running hook. he should really relish this chance to learn from one of the craftiest post players ever.

  • @tattata5380
    @tattata5380 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    And this is Gasol with plantar/foot injury. I can't believe what MdAntoni was thinking about benching this guy over D12. When Pau played more during the latter part of the season the Lakers overall played better and even D12 benefited a whole lot playing along with Pau. Pau may not be gifted with physical attributes like D12 but he's got more brain than D12 when it comes to knowing what to do and red and react to a given situation making him integral for the team.

  • @Eastra3
    @Eastra3 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    if dwight leaves, josh smith will replace his dunks and defense while providing more versatility and higher FT percentage. It will also return Pau to the post where he is a monster. So, if dwight leaves, it wont hurt the lakers, but if he stays fine.

  • @Eastra3
    @Eastra3 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    D'antoni had pau playing stretch 4 to make dwight happy, but now that dwight is gone, he will move him to center.

  • @mig.z
    @mig.z 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hope Kaman can finish like Dwight in the paint. If he can't, atleast finish it when they pass it to him inside. Pau and Dwight was one of the best front court that never worked out but if you look at Pau passing, that was just eye-bulging. If Dwight wasn't a diva and tried to take LA from Kobe, LA can be a championship contender in the upcoming years.

  • @sportygu123
    @sportygu123 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I never understood why Dwight always demanded the ball in the post. Everytime it's Pau in the post, Dwight is usually on the receiving end of a lob.

    This is the player the miami heat needs to really compete with the western conference loaded deep teams. I am a die hard heat fan, and not to underestimate what Bosh has done but CB is not the answer, we need a true center or trade bosh for a real big man. Sorry Chris you are loved among heat nation but sometimes is not enough.

    it's unbelievable that the Lakers would trade a 7-footer with that diverse offensive game.
    this season was a disaster it was derailed early with the coaching issue and late with the injuries. try to get healthy and run it back.
