    Gasol was at one point considered the most skilled big man in the NBA - and this is a time where Duncan, KG, Dirk, Yao, and Amare played. He held his own, him and Kobe were a great pair.

    Gasol so underrated , he should be up there with Dirk as best European player. Such a beast in the Post, Anthony Davis needs to learn some moves from Gasol

    You don’t see bigs like this anymore. He’s long, ambidextrous and he can go either right or left with beautiful hook shots. If you give him baseline, he either can drop pass to a cutter or reverse dunk on ya. Just a super fluid post-up game which has inspired people like me who grew up in that period.

    One of the best low post touch for a big man. The guys baby hook is money.

    Gasol in laker championship years
    19 ppg on 13 shots per game!
    That’s efficiency right there. Give him 5 more shots a game (like most stars get). He’s around 25 a game!

    I think the Lakers should retire his #16 jersey. He was instrumental for their ‘08-‘10 Finals appearances.

      He was a very good player and I think any other team would do it because he'd probably be their best big man ever, but it's really hard to justify him in the same company as Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq.

    Best part about Pau Gasol was his chemistry with Kobe Bryant, who would pass to Gasol at the RIGHT ELBOW/ High Post = 2-Man Game off Pinch Post 😄😄😄😄.
    I loved Gasol's fundamentals & footwork on the LEFT BLOCK even though he is right-handed.

    Que maravilla, que juego de pies y como maneja las dos manos, le da igual acabar con la derecha que con la izquierda. Visión de juego, taponador, juega de espalda y de cara al aro, buen tiro de media distancia...uno de los mejores de su tiempo. Y posiblemente entre los tres más completos de su época

    Supertalented!!! Maybe he is not as tough as people would like, but who cares when you are so skilled.

    • @ramjb
      @ramjb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He was tough as nails. He went to an all out war against dogs like Wallace and KG in the 2010 finals and he got the best of them. And he totally dominated prime Howard in the '09 finals. You don't do anything of the sorts if you're not tough as hell.

    • @juandiegosanzgorjon184
      @juandiegosanzgorjon184 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ramjb He ate Howard and Gortat alive. And should have been the 2010 Finals MVP, perhaps. 18.5 ppg and 11.5 rpg against the rock solid Celtics.

    • @nostalgicbliss5547
      @nostalgicbliss5547 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Boozer was strong, but he just too small for Gasol. When you have a legit 7fter with a huge wingspan, IQ, feel for the game and a variety of post moves, they will always be a handful.
