Maybe it's because I spent a ton of time in the original Il-2 Mission Editor, but the newer one definitely doesn't feel as intuitive to use. I miss all of the hot keys I was used to, like using the numpad keys to rotate planes and objects.
I created the task. I created a file in the mission section on steam and saved it in it. However, I cannot find the mission from the mission section in the game and fly. Please explain clearly. Where can we save and fly???????
Hi, really good tutorial and explained well and at a good pace to follow. I’ve copied this setup in BON. Two spits take off and fly to another airfield as a simple learning exercise. It works but my wingman doesn’t land. He stays in formation and as I enter the circuit he just crash lands nearby. I’ve linked my aircraft to the last way point with a land at object. My wingman is linked to me and this works as he follows. Do I need to link the last way point to him to trigger him to land as well? Thanks. PS will also experiment and post if I work it out.

When setting up a mission, are there any ground based mobile rocket launchers that can be used for ground attack? I've found them on Trains and Ships, but that is the extent of it.
I'm having great difficulties in setting up a level bombing run. I have 4X Ju-88A4s at altitude 1500m. I placed an AttackGround at a Russian airfield at 1500m. Placed the waypoint a distance from it. And they never drop their bombs. Most frustrating. Can anyone help?

When setting the second waypoint, shouldn't it be Shift + Left Click? That's the only way I could get it to work. This may be because the version I am using is newer than the one used for this video. I've got BoK installed, and we're up to our second aircraft of that set.
Agree, this is the worse mission editor i've ever seen in a game eg: ArmA, DCS, IL2 CoD. IL2 GB, is a good game with the worse ME i've ever seen, in DCS you can setup your own mission within minutes, in this one you need at least more than 30 minute just to prepare the map.
You have to make sure you're following all the steps during the creation process. It's easy to miss a step and not have the mission function correctly.
I didn't get that far with the editor. I do recall I read that it's possible to see ground crew around an airfield, but I have never seen it, and I could never find out how to do it, if it is indeed possible.

Hi! I'm trying to follow your tutorial to build a 2-player co-op mission but on the beginning when I'm placing the first 2 bf-109 it doesn't allow me to select both aircraft with "Player" AI. Do you happen to know how I could create 2 player slots? Thanks and happy flights!!
I don't have any experience with multiplayer. The best suggestion I have is to look for Rise of Flight mission editor tutorials. The editor is essentially the same for both titles. I think most tutorials for that title cover multiplayer missions.

Great Tutorial but when adding the second waypoint I had to hold the (SHIFT key while left clicking to add it).
I overlooked mentioning that at the time.

As far as I'm aware the Rise of Flight editor has the same functions. I would search on that subject to find more information.

I think it's consistent with the developers sims in general, with a concentration on code rather than presentation.

I made this, but all the aircraft dident taxi, instead they just took straight off from wher there parked? could you help?
The video was correct at the time of recording. If you're sure you have followed the tutorial precisely something may have changed with how it works.

You're correct. I included a correction on the description. I didn't realise the mistake until after the video was uploaded.
Why couldnt they use the same system as the old game
I tried to get to grips with it but it’s just too complicated and unintuitive. The older games FMBs were perfectly adequate and much easier to use.

When I start the game there is no air craft . I selected player plane and on ground. Not sure what I did wrong.
You have to make sure you're following all the steps during the creation process. It's easy to miss a step and not have the mission function correctly.

I believe you can add ground crew, but never experimented with it.
There seems to be no file to import the Taxi waypoints for the Kuban map. can you please tell me how to do so?
