- Another winter is officially underway. Whistler Blackcomb Opening Day happened Nov 23, 2024. Was it good? "Good" is relative,. We were just happy to be snowboarding with some of our friends again. We did the full resort tour starting on Whistler in the morning, Peak 2 peaked over to Blackcomb for the afternoon before returning to Whistler for one last hike. This is a raw GoPro version with clips from the day. I may do a proper edit down the line but as you can tell conditions were pretty mediocre.

Dayum you guys are super legit. I boarded for a few years like 8 years or so ago and just moved to Colorado like 2 months ago and decided to get back into it. Coming from North Dakota where we had nothing even remotely close to this is a huge step up for me and just trying to get back into the swing of things. Not sure I'll ever get to your level but watching videos like yours definitely makes me want to so bad. Keep em coming and crazy good work man!

What size of hometown do you normally ride?
160 for resort cruising. This is actually a Territory Manager with Family Tree graphics form a couple years ago. Old board for a rocky opening so I don’t damage the new ones

Those were the bindings set up on my rock board. I flip back and forth between step on and strap. My whole Chile trip was step on and these past few days have been strap

In the mouth that’s why my voice is weird a few times throughout the video.
As an Australian who boards in Australia seeing Americans idea of “rocky snow” makes me depressed. That’s like ideal conditions on Thredbo lmao.
I hate when resorts let the staff ride first ain’t nothing like going up for first tracks and camping in line only to find everything ridden out.
