What an incredible kickoff to the 2024-2025 winter season at Whistler Blackcomb! This has to be one of the best opening weekends yet, with deep powder runs and epic conditions. It's not often you feel confident charging off trail on opening weekend but this delivered.
Snowboarding with close friends and soaking up that opening weekend energy made it even better.
Thanks to all of you that have helped this channel grow by subscribing. I am so excited to continue putting out videos all winter long.

Great review-thanks for the details! What’s your take on the Toe Hooks 2.0? The Reflex design encases them in the binding frame, which seems to offer extra support under force. However, I’m unsure about relying on a single screw mount as the only attachment point, the way it comes with the new EST step-ons.

5:40 Confession-When we were broke college kids we used to park at blackcomb gondola midstation and download, ride around the bullwheel at the bottom, and then ride without tickets. Not advocating this and I feel a bit guilty about it now...and it wouldn't work anymore anyway

Thank you and a Merry Christmas to you to. I have a Mouth Mount for the action camera. I trust it for most boarding but I never wear it when I jump. Scared of damaging teeth if I fall.

Had a day similar to this at Vail last year except it was like December. Avanti opened for the first time and we had a ripping crew. Not nearly the quality of terrain or ability of rider but the stoke was the same vide. Charging all day until you just can’t ride anymore because your legs are dust.
The early season leg burn is a sign of a good day haha Hopefully you get some more of those days soon!
Love it dude! Also pro tip here for POV shots, snag a max mod Lens for the GoPro. It’s such a game changer for the field of view. Cheers bro
Thanks for the tip. I’ve been using the DJI Action Cam for these two early season videos. I’ll see if they have a max mod option
@ oh fosho! Those are sick cams too. Not sure if they have interchangeable lens yet.

Is the EST version always better than the normal one? Just for performing on the board and the feeling?
I have 4 pairs of the StepOns, both Genesis and Reflex. But after say 40-50 days, it feels loose. There’s clearly a gap feel between the heel cup and the high back. The boot still perfectly connect to the high back. Just not as snug as the fresh new one when you started a new pair of bindings. Do these EST version fix that problem after you wear them for more than 40 days?😂

@@marksollors id say advanced, i can pretty much ride any trail in breck/snowmass and im 5'9-5'10 and 135-140 lbs
