So I know this is not true because doctors never (I’m a doctor in training) never put in a feeding tube for someone that isn’t eating. They always go for a feeding tube via the nose first. The surgery would be a unnecessary risk.
Also, doctors never, ever, call to say something is wrong. If they find out someone has Cancer, they call to ask if you could come back in. They never ever do it via the phone. We are not allowed to do that.
