I love this! Much harder than most content labeled as "intermediate" but still easier than the native content I enjoy (but can't understand well without pausing and looking up words)
I would like you to talk more next time about why so many chinese parents choose to send their kids to study abroad, like the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. I have close friends that decided to study at a German University instead of a public Chinese University. It's interesting to think about the Pros and Cons of that option too. In Europe most Universities are public and the fee is just symbolic, and by living abroad students have the chance to actually undertand Western cultures from inside and it helps them to improve their skills with a second language. On the other hand, a drawback of this option is the distance from their families and cultures, the feeling of being always the "ousider" and feeling detached from your native environment, customs and traditions. For some Chinese people, even if they have better opportunities abroad, they might still want to go back to China in order to eat the same food again, reconnect with their old friends and avoid the racism and tokenism that they might experience in their schools or workplaces. Unfortunately, there are many racist and mean people out there, and my Chinese friends in Berlin have felted targeted several times by their bosses, teachers and classmates just because of their nationality, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Although not everyone, it is not rare for some Western teachers to target Chinese University students and to question in front of the classroom their personal views regarding Chinese History and Politics (i.e. Communist Party, Mao Zedong, the Cultural Revolution, the Tianamen Square indicent, Xinjian Province, Taiwan, etc.), topics which obviously puts them in the spothlight and makes them feel nervous and unconfortable with any idea they might share. I love your content and I cant wait for your next video!!!
Your initial assumption that most Western parents would want to send their kids to private, gui4zu2 (elite?) schools is incorrect. Many people see elite schools as fundamentally anti-social and undemocratic. The idea of being "elite" isn't attractive to everyone for example in Canada or the US. Many people would prefer that All the schools be good, to make the whole society benefit, not only for the richest people to benefit. Many people question how much money each school gets per student from the government, the idea being it should be fair, "equitable." Because in theory at least you don't have to be be rich and privileged to lead a good, happy life in a democratic country.
I'm from Poland and I agree. Some people here send children to private preschool because there's not enough public ones, but you barely hear of people going to private primary schools, let alone high schools. The only private schools I know here are religious schools.

anyone knows the name of the show, please

To add to that, the best engineering schools in France are public as well.
Great video though! Really enjoyed it :)
