theransomdance The Allied agreement allowed for travel into all sectors of Berlin. This included the Soviet Sector (East Berlin) which is on the opposite side of the Berlin Wall. Allied Armies went through Checkpoint Charlie into the Soviet Sector.

We had special permission to go over there, as a group with other soldiers and family members. I'm grateful for the experience.
