    We spent a full week with the new Pathfinder and came away very impressed! Once Nissan does an electrified option, this will be at the very top of the segment with the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. We also think the upgrade to the new 2022 Infiniti QX60 isn't really worth it, unless you really like the styling and the luxury badge. The new Pathfinder is a practical new family SUV wrapped in a reasonable price for the segment.

    • @chiemekaa
      @chiemekaa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the more reason why the QX60 deserves a Red Sport trim to justify the price disparity. And they need to do it quickly or offer some kind of electrification to match the performance of European rivals before they fall into mediocrity again.

    • @chiemekaa
      @chiemekaa 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On another note Sofyan, the center console in both the Pathfinder and the QX60 can fit into the underfloor storage of the cargo area. I'm guessing that's one of the reasons why cargo space is on the average side in its class. I wouldn't be surprised if it has the most underfloor space.

      Thanks for this review! My old 2002 Mitsubishi Montero LTD is nearing the end of its lifetime… over 300k miles and starting in 2019 it’s had 5 shop visits (first non-regular maintenance shop visit in 2019 when the sunroof got stuck open). This is definitely in the running, excellent detailed review!

      @francarrey7501 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've been listening to and watching numerous reviews about third row seating vehicles for an upcoming trip. The Pathfinder's third row seating is not roomy or comfortable for adults, even of normal size. Mostly design for little kids but they should be fine because they will be preoccupied with the electronic outlets to plug in their electronic devices, cup holders, and air vents which blows air to the third row also. A full-size SUV like a Cheverelot Tahoe is more comfortable for an adult. Premium SUVs like the Surburban or Ford Expedition are more comfortable and roomier for adults.

    As a Nissan guy, CVT needs to be retired moving forward. I’ve owned several Nissans over the years and recently purchased the new Pathfinder. Removing the CVT along with other updates has made the Pathfinder enjoyable to drive. It’s not perfect, but no vehicle is. Nissan continues to rebuild their brand and are headed in the right direction.

    My very first new vehicle purchase was a 1980 Datsun 310GX. The car was very reliable, and dependable. Changing name from Datsun to Nissan was kind of bad luck for the brand because things keep going down for Nissan while Toyota, Honda steadily gain market share with exciting models and better quality. In 1984 I bought a Camry, 1985 a Supra, 2003 Highlander, 2005 Sienna, 2010 Lexus IS and they all drove to 300k miles without any major issues. The new Pathfinder is very impressive midsize SUV and I like the Infiniti QX60 even more because it looks more luxurious. Nissan is heading in the right direction with their new models but Toyota is bench mark for quality, long term reliability and owner satisfaction standard.

    I have the Chevy Traverse Premier and it has everything that your video car has, but the one thing I like the most is that the rear view mirror can be changed from a normal mirror to a true camera, also the memory seats has 3 memory positions, the third is actually called an “exit” position that goes to how you set it when you turn off the motor and open the driver door. Think I’ll keep my Traverse

    I've got two serious issues with my 2022 SV AWD. 1. The infotainment system. It has various glitches with freezing, volume, cutting out, not loading up, touch screen doesn't always work. 2. The known transmission issues, going into neutral, not upshifting. The 3rd would be the adaptive cruise control. It is almost violent. It si.ply over reacts to conditions. It tries to get the speed back too quickly. Way to much downshifting. Even when you bump the button for 1 mph. The transmission in cruise always is shifting around. The GPS will blank out and buffer just when you need it. Is this a simple software fix or inferior electronic parts? Please comments.

  • @watchreport
    @watchreport 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think of a lot of these models the best value is the SV trims or middle trims on others with a convenience package. Once you get to the top trims in these mid size vehicles, you get the leather and a couple of goodies but you lack the refinement. For the price of a platinum trim you’re better off getting a base luxury vehicle, unless you can get a really good deal, and these days deals are few and far between. The platinum pathfinder starts at $48,000. A Genesis GV80 starts at $50,000.

    I honestly was going to wait for a Platinum until I did some research. Nissan is using the same ZF that is in the Honda's. Some reviews state the ZF is sluggish on downshifts, mostly for FE. Now, Honda is switching to their house built 10 spd in the Pilot for '23. In the Acura's, they praised the transmission matched up much better the the ZF and it's more responsive. Sorry Nissan.

    I've had one for a few months and there are so many issues that I would love to trade it in. These are not safety issues, so it wouldn't ever be fixed. The passenger seat is so low that it makes the drive uncomfortable and can't even use the sun visor. The auto start on the key fob never works right. The Nissan app is slower than dial up internet, when it decides to work. The heater does not come on when it is auto started. The backup camera is horrible quality. The engine is very rough in low gears and the auto start/ shut off is very jerky. I have the SV, AWD.

      What are a bunch of nobodies on TH-cam going to do about it? Why not return it back to the dealership and get something else? A lot of dealerships offer a 30 day return policy. Most of this stuff you should have caught on the test drive.

    • @analovesTexas
      @analovesTexas 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@smack9x Let's see, how am I going to demand a dealership to take back a vehicle that's over $42,000? That's absolutely irrational. No, most of these issues are things that you don't catch in the 15 minute test drive. I've never had issues with these features not working before on any vehicle I've purchased, but hopefully if Nissan hears enough people having these issues they might fix them at the refresh so others do not have to deal with it. I recognize that TH-cam is not going to fix it, but hopefully someone else that hears these things will check them before purchasing. Just trying to help someone else so they don't make the same mistake. You're not a nobody, and you read it. 🤔
