  • A neat visit to an amazing park called Noccalula Falls Park. A Legend, a beautiful waterfall, petting zoo, and a mini train you can ride. What more could you want.

      You definitely need to get over there and check that park out. Plus Fort Payne Alabama is not too far away. Birthplace of the country band Alabama. Plus there is a lion refuge near Fort Payne but you have to get a guided tour to be able to take pictures or video. Thanks for watching

    I saw the falls the weekend before Christmas, and they were barely trickling, like most waterfalls in the south.
    I wanted to go to the park/campground this spring, but the campground is closed for renovations until 2025. It's definitely on my to-do list to spend a full weend there for some camping and hiking.
    Thanks for taking us along on your trip!

      You are welcome. Was the park side closed for renovation too? I hope to get back to hike the Ravine

    I think this is so far my favorite video. The train sure moved at quite a clip! It's beautiful in the places you go. I hope to some day see some of the places you have shown. Thank you for doing these videos.

      You are welcome. I'm glad that you liked it. I'm going to have to go back so that I can get down at the base of the falls (looks like a fantastic swimming hole too.)

      This is my home town and that train actually flipped last summer because the driver was going too fast

      I am definitely going to have to go back down there again. Swimming at the base of the falls looked too inviting. To be able to look from behind the falls would be amazing too.

      That train May look cute, but riding on it is a little terrifying. It really moves fast for its size and there is not a lot of clearance in some spots. It was very fun :)

    Pretty cool place. How long ago was it established? Is it a surviving blue highway, road side attraction or more recent

    • @AndysJourneys
      @AndysJourneys  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The guy that bought it in 1909 originally wanted to turn it into a city park. I don't think that it was a blue highway roadside attraction. However the water feature has been here forever. Thank you for watching

  • @walterdavis4808
    @walterdavis4808 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    To.make the wheel power anything you need a full time engineer to operate it. Found that out when I rebuilt one only to see it rust away like the old one

    • @AndysJourneys
      @AndysJourneys  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Next time I go back I will have to look a lot closer at it and maybe ask the gentleman some questions about that train. A little terrifying to ride but very fun
