The beautiful Waverley leaves her berth at Harwich for a trip to London, via The River Thames. Unfortunately she was re scheduled to avoid Clacton due to wind conditions.
Very enjoyable video! 👍 There has been a documentary about Waverley on German TV and in it it was mentioned that the ship does indeed have a rudder and its small size is considered a bit of a design flaw, because the speed above which it is effective is said to be relatively high.
Ah well at least you got to see her You could of gone to Clacton and not seen anything. If you ever get a chance to go on her take it. The engine room is fully open to the public and has one of the largest most powerful steam engines still working
She is a beautiful little ship. This is the first time I have seen her 'in person' and I was not disappointed. I shall indeed book when the next opportunity arises. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thank you for that, and thanks for watching. I enjoyed my 'Waverley Experience very much.
