The chances of deaf people getting employed within Uganda’s public and private sectors is very limited.
This is attributed to the social stigma that comes with hearing and speech impairments argues Shadia Nakueira, the proprietor of Sikia Cafe, the first cafe in Jinja to employ deaf people.
