Great report mate, love this channel. I have been a Bears fan since 1984, when I left South Africa and returned to the country of my birth, England. I was raised in SA and played rugby since I was 6 years old over there, but going from the beaches in Durban to a pub (my dad was an Irish public house landlord) on the dock road in Liverpool was a culture shock to say the least. It was the Bears that kept my powder dry, a distraction of sorts as I had never seen this spaceman rugby at the age of 13. It was something I could direct my passion into and when age 17 I gave up the rugby for a few years to give it a go. I watched every gridiron movie and learnt to play watching Richard Dent swim moves, and in 1988 joined an amateur full contact American football team, the Wigan Wolverines. They became the Lancashire Wolverines and at the level of a good high school level. We were dominated by American and Canadian semi-pro teams teams 68-0, but got the best of an Oregon High School Allstar touring team that use to visit annually, and always smashed us. I loved it, and learnt so much from the whole experience. But one day we beat the Oregon State Highschool All-stars, 12-6 and the next year it was 12-12 tie, a remarkable development for players learning the game on their own, that bought their own equipment, paid their own membership and had basic health insurance ;-) I have became an addict of the game ever since playing for 7 years on the D-line, trying to emulate the monsters of the midway, so really got the feeling of the line of scrimmage and how I could relate to rugby scrums, rucks and mauls. I have never been this excited for the team, since Walter Payton (RIP) broke the rushing record (the main reason why I became the Bear fanatic); the '85 win we all know about; or the Hester KO return in the Big Show, 2006/7. I follow every detail of this team on this channel, getting all the great reporting and research, thank you. My spirit animal has always been a bear, so it was all meant to be... and this year I can see the team development building, the new players, the draft, and Hard Knocks!!!! all playing a major role in this overwhelming excitement. But the icing on the cake I just heard today, that the Bears are playing a season game vs Jaguars in London Oct 13th, 6 hours drive from where I live. Holy smoke!!!!!! This is huge, and the tickets are extortionate, but I will make it happen somehow and as soon as I get that ticket, I will most likely film a fly on the wall experience from that moment until after this game for my youtube channel, just to capture the experience of a life time opportunity for me. From the biggest Scouse-African Chicago Bears fan in the world,.... BEAR DOWN!!!!! (phew, sorry had to get this off my chest)

He did exactly what he was suppose to do against the non starters. If he didn’t, it would be more a worry. He did EXACTLY what he was suppose to do vs that defense.
I like the secondary was excused. This gives the kid a chance to operate W/O one of the best secondary groups in football to choke em out. He needs good days like this early. His confidence will grow and at some point he will start to see things better and be able to put it to the starting secondary as well. I love what I'm seeing.
The 2003-2006 team had some real exciting aspects, though when they actually reached the super bowl, I was surprised they did actually. Primarily due to inconsistent QB play as well as losing Tommy Harris to his hamstring injury. The latter imo is maybe one of the most overlooked contributors to us losing the SB.
I'm with you on Dexter Swifty, I'm not saying he is my breakout player but he is the guy I am most excited to see how much better he might be this year. We really need him to step up, I'm cautiosly optimistic. 🐻⬇️ ✌️✝️ Edit: I think Brisker is going to be All Pro this year, I love that dude.
Starting to worry a little about Waldren. Most people from Seattle say he was another "Getsy". I hope he can get Williams up to par in the NFL. Njigba didnt even have anything good to say about him.
Hey Swift, Since we are in the early Dog Days of Summer 🏝️ 🌞 I'm interested in knowing what you think and if you would do an early look into the 2025 NFL Defensive Lineman Draft Class and give us your opinion on the defensive side of the football especially on Ohio State DE JT Tuimoloau in a Chicago Bears Uniform since we couldn't draft a pass rusher because we didn't have enough #1st Round Picks to select Penn State DE Chop Robinson this past April?

wow im so surprised that Nate Davis missed time.... again.... that contract is looking worse and worse by the day :/ sadly. I get they are voluntary, but if you miss all the voluntary stuff, and half the season, and play bad for the half season you do play.... lol and if your whole team is showing up for the most part and you arent? that shows a lack of commitment. Last time it was family, i get it. But you still have to do your job at some point.

Losing Mike Brown earlier in the season was also a major loss.
If they would’ve kept going to Thomas jones and not Cedric benson….we would’ve won.
