Can you provide me with your example? Scanners don’t actually scan isbns but they will pick up barcodes. A lot of the time it’s the same number but it needs a barcode to read. Also, if you have changed the settings it’s possible that you have an action programmed into the scanner to add or delete information from the barcodes.
So I do like the wearable scanner and it is much more stealthy, but my biggest con with it being attached to your finger and really relying on your hand to be positioned a certain way to get the barcode. This one is really built for speed. It allows me to move my wrist a little when pulling out books. Also I change hands if I have been scanning a while and it’s much easier than adjusting the strap compared to the other.
There are a number of ways to go about it. I’m a book collector! That’s usually my go to. Or if they ask me about my scanner, I just tell them it helps me find the books I’m looking for.
You can use the scanner to scan any barcode, but I primarily use it for scanning items like books, DVDs, cds, and video games to help me determine which ones are worth looking into to resell.
Yes, many customers want to turn off beep. The vibration function is popular.👍

What about the one that you wear on your finger? Any comparison? I like the "stealth" ability of the wearable scanner. Thoughts?

If staff asks what you’re doing do you tell them you are looking to resell books?
