It was indeed based on old Blockbuster Video store magazines that turned up in my research (i.e. eBay). The rest was more or less straightforward. So glad you're digging it!
This is looking to be one of the best releases of the year already. As a longtime Empire and Charles Band fan, I'm ecstatic that we're finally getting Arena on blu ray. Wow, I'm absolutely stunned by this set!! The new artwork for all of the movies is incredible! Arrow continually proves that they are the best in the business. Hopefully they do a second set with 5 more movies in the future!
I got the boxset on a sale lately and, despite having just the ''regular'' version without all the extras, it is very much worth it. A lot of it seems to be done with a lot of care in making sure that the movies get a second life with a good transfert, new art and hopefully a new appreciation from newcomers, like me ! :)

Missing out on the older very limited Empire Box Set (17 films on 15 discs) a few years ago was one of my biggest home media regrets (even that set had ARENA only in DVD). Hopefully this can be a Vol. 1 and there'll be more.

I just finished this box set last night, and my first ranking on these movies is this. 1. dungeon master 2. dolls 3. arena 4. Robot Jox 5. cellar dweller. Note: I have only watched these movies one time so far. So that being said on a 2nd rewatch I could change things around.
Havent got this yet but gonna request as a christmas present.very excited to get.think dungeon master the only one i didnt see as a teenager.there was so much more romance in searching the video store for these films and many more.many found by accident.😊
Yes I remember that's dolls cover from the video store back in the day . Never rented it , video store guy said it sucked , so I could never get my parents to rent it .
Honestly would rather them bring the more obscure films out in a boxset like this. Cheaper deal and maybe find a hidden gem in a movie you wouldnt normally buy.
I’m so pumped for this set! I love the box set design with the shades of purple, it’s so 80’s! It’s gonna look amazing on my shelf between my Friday The 13th and Halloween box sets. Hopefully we get a second volume with Trancers, Dollman, Puppet Master and Subspecies maybe.

considering charlie doesnt own the rights to these films it would be an odd conflict. Even when charlie got the approval from SF to include titles they had licenses to at the time charlie sold it as the "Empire" box set. This is the Empire of Screams box set. So if anything, arrow did in the vein of what charlie himself did.
Nice box set, just a shame about the quality of the movies. Dolls and cellar dweller are ok but the other three movies I’m really not a fan of at all. Amazing artwork and packaging, but it’s not enough of an incentive for me to buy it. Shame

I wasn’t convinced about this set when I seen it announced. But I think seeing it in someone’s hands go threw it has convinced me to pick it up.

Arrow have a really good streaming service called Arrow player. Its basically like shudder but with remasters from 1080p to 4k.
I love all the movies in this set, however Arena was the reason I pre-ordered the set.
