A couple of days before Christmas 1969 my dad, evangelist, pastor, bible teacher and wonderful father, went home to Immanual's land at just 58 years of age. This was the final song sung at his memorial service a few days later. It was one of his favourites, and I come back and watch this gentle performance often, and remember him with joy, and in anticipation of seeing him again when I, too, get to Emmanuel's land
Oh dear, how gloriously wonderful! These are fabulous words, set to a perfect melody, and sung by people who know Emmanuel and are looking forward to seeing Him. If mortals can sing this sweetly here, what will the choir in heaven be like???
We are the children of Christ our lord take a stand for Jesus and change your way's for he stands at the door of your heart and knocks if any man opens the door he will come in and give you peace and joy plus so much more!
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev 3:20. Written to the Church of Laodicea (where we are now in the church age). The Lord was not happy with this church. They were proud of their riches and accomplishments. Notice, Jesus was now outside knocking when he should have been inside. He was no longer the center of the church; replaced by riches and an increase in goods. Sound like the church of today? Proud of their buildings, stained glass and ornaments? Of course it does, it was prophesized. Make Christ all. Make Him the center of your life. God bless you Sister Rebecca.
