I think they are talking about Woman Walks Ahead, the story of painter Katherine Weldon and Chief Sitting Bull, which I literally just finished watching. If the people rating this movie were largely white males, I'm sure they didn't like it. I can imagine them all squirming in their seats as their egos were blown away to see a beautiful, talented Native American man, fill the screen with his presence...breechclout and all...just saying...One of the best things about watching Michael perform is his wonderfully expressive face, and those eyes that let us see the soul inside. Love this man.

How could this film receive poor reviews?? The film was beautifully acted, the story was incredibly moving, and the cinematography was breathtaking. It was brilliant to frame the shots as they did....I also did not see Sam Rockwell's character as racist. I was really appreciative in that they chose not to broad brush all the white characters as racist. Sorry, for me that trope is now predictable to the point of boredom, and qualifies as cliche. Michael Greyeyes is an underrated actor. Yes, he's gorgeous. But, he truly is a superb actor.
Michael gets objectified a great deal because yes, he's handsome. I cringe at some posts gushing & frankly more focused on their fantasies of him. As a scholar, I like to hear what he has to share and as an artist. Creative intelligence is always fascinating.

Years ago I went to a crystal 🔮shop...I stood outside near the doorway just to soak in the energy...a person walked behind me I turned he was wearing a purple denim 💜top and jeans long fair hair in a ponytail...I felt every Chakra up my spine open like a 🌼flowers...I went into the shop gazing at the crystals 🔮and it happened again like ding dong ding every Chakra in my spine opened again I turned and he was standing near me...I went over and told him...he then said my name is Is.one because we are all ONE.. He was there to give a talk about Chakras....I feel a very similar vibe from Michael Greyeyes..deep spiritual gentle but very powerful vibration 🙇♂️ 🙏

People that would give this a bad review are those who wish to bury all history of our Native American people and they don't want to see the thread that has continued to this day. The reviewers have no frame of reference or knowledge of what happened to our native people. They also aren't half as smart or perceptive as Michael.
I've just bought this film don't care what the critic's say it was beautiful. Sitting bull still making the white man uncomfortable after a 150 years he must be smiling down on us .I always judge film for myself not on what other people say I'm a 60 year old white woman who loves history and it should be correct from every angle. Carry on telling your people's truth if we listen the world might be a better place
