This insider information from Michael Greyeyes has opened my eyes about the business. And it shows that all you have to do is listen and be interested to learn and understand better. I can't wait to watch the other videos and I'd love to see Rutherford Falls (somehow it's not easy to see it in Germany - but I'll find it!).

Thank you for explaining the the process of film involving native Americans. My background is 1/2 Cherokee and 1/2 white. The problems encountered as a half breed are many. It seems now that there was a concerted effort to wipe away any identities of native Americans in our lives. My father was the Indian. My mothers family showed no respect for my father, my father remained silent regards to his background. I was a sneaky kid, listening to any words which would answer any questions I had regarding my identity. Listening to you has clarified so many questions that I have had. At my age (80 yo), having lost both my parents, there is no one to talk to regarding my teachings from being in the family who spent an enormous amount of time hiding the fact that I am 1/2 of my father. I am so greatful to persons like you for giving me peace, knowing that was to protect me from the hurt which was so prevalent in my youth. The emotion involved in addressing this issue is amazing.Thank you, Michael Grayeyes, much respect.
This brings up so many emotions when listening to it Michael. For millennia, human beings who are outside a structured cage of conformity have to fight, even themselves sometimes, to matter; to have authentic value and be able to offer up their gifts of sentience. What a waste to our global society when so many are marginalised, when in fact their knowledge is both timeless and priceless. Do you have a getto side and believe you can´t be fix. Maybe it´s not ment to be fix. Perhaps the trick isn´t to fix that part but master your emotions so you never have to us it. We all have an animal side that maybe necessary in a situation. I admit it´s hard not to go to the direct action side. Mastering our emotions takes some time and a lot of patience. Thoughts are muscles that can be strengthened. Best way is to find others to work out with and who are going in the direction you want to go. Hatuk Hill

While I get where you’re coming from, you can’t just decide that you’re indigenous. You haven’t lived that life and that is not your story to tell. Identifying as male or female is not the same as identifying as white, black, indigenous, or anything else.
