I once told my parents that a boy talked to me for a project, the speech that ensued about how you shouldn’t socialize with boys cause they only want you for one thing lasted nearly two hours… and then they constantly reminded me not to talk to him or even look at him for the next month and a half. Wish they would have let me talk for one moment to tell them he was gay and has no interest in me.
I had a friend in high school, he loves cats but his whole family is allergic to them, so when I told him I had cats he wanted to come over to see them. I told them this at dinner and then the lecture insued. Now this boy is never someone I would have interest in, he's like my brother. So I told them he was gay (asked him if he was okay with this first, because I didn't want him to be upset by this and he said he found it funny, and he had fun making up a backstory for it) when my parents met him they said they didn't believe me but then they met him. I'm still friends with this dude, and they don't know the difference
Nah see if that was me I would’ve outright been like OK then can you call my school and my teacher so you can tell them that I don’t have to participate in school projects anymore because otherwise they’re going to fail me for not talking to the male students that I need to talk to do my work
That’s so weird to me. Ive never understood why parents do that. It’s so counterproductive. 1. Your child will just get good at lying 2. They won’t come to you for help, comfort or even just to share something exciting because they are scared of your reaction 3. The world has men and women so you aren’t keeping your child (or let’s be real daughter) away from them anyway. It’s better that they learn to have normal human interactions.
same since i’m bisexual but can’t date guys, doesn’t really matter to me tho because pretty much all the guys in my school are degenerates who disgust me
And i thought I was the only one who's parents overreact on boys. I literally haven't had a crush in a few years now and think I am becoming asexual due to my trauma around this whole guy situation. Because I would rather not marry and die a single rather then marrying someone my parents want me to and have a loveless marriage

We should normalize opposite-sex platonic relationships. I feel like it wouldn’t just help sexism in general if we leveled with each other more often but also just help us realize that not everything has to be about sex.
Girl, absolutely same. I was literally in 2nd grade, and this little boy named Cole was always very nice to me. There was absolutely nothing to it, we were not interested in each other. Just good friends. And istg, anytime my parents saw him try to interact with me, they would get so angry. And this behavior, folks, doesn't just magically end when you get older. They continued to be angry, disgusted, and upset with any male person in my life. Friend or not. And this is why I'm now an adult who's been steady with someone for three years, and they don't even know.
Dude I hate how parents blame their kids for what other people do. Like, "why does your friend keep texting you, I told you to stop" and I'm like, dude, I cant control receiving a notification, wtf do you want me to do????
Honestly, at this point, these parents' intentions are not in your best interest. it's just in being crazy. If you're so scared of a boy coming up to you in public because your parents are going to freak out, your parents seriously need to go to therapy. anyone who punishes their child because the opposite gender exists should be in therapy or, better yet, a nuthouse where they keep you in a room with nothing in it

This kinda happens to me also. Like if I become friends with a boy my family ships me with him. It makes me uncomfortable so now I try to avoid becoming friends with boys.
In the 8th grade I was friends with this guy and we were pretty close. In English we had to make an argumentative piece and we were in pairs. One day I left my water bottle in English class and English was my last period. He knew where I lived because similar situation I just lived pretty close to school. So I came home late because I went back to school searching for my water bottle and I walked home so I was a few minutes late. The boy drove home so he stopped by my house and for some reason DIDNT SAY HE HAD MY WATER AND INSTEAD HE SAID HE HAD SOMETHING TO TELL ME! You can imagine the talk I got afterwards 🙃
I have ALMOST the same story. Two actually, one was when I was literally 8….. my dad gave the death stare when two of my classmates came to ask me to play outside. Wouldn’t have been the case if they were girls. The second I was 14 ish and my friend came over to ask if I could come out….. SHE had very curly hair, almost an afro, and was in her awkward phase but he thought she was a boy and got angry with me again. I looked at my dad and was like…… she’s a girl? And he changed his tune real quick.
This is actually so relatable. I had this friend I was zooming with and he was gay but my parents were like “there will be dating rumors between u two.” They hate every friend of mine that’s a boy. But he ended up being a toxic piece of shit so yeah
yess i went through this until I came out to them because then they didn't want me around girls or boys cause they thought I was lying abt liking girls but they're not taking chances
2nd part plz 🤣🤣🤣 i had similar situation i use to give and take my notes in my classes only coz I strictly told all my guy frnds not to come at my place
boy am I glad my parents are NOT like that. when I bring home anyone, boy, girl, whatever, they're not even questioning anything other than what they want to eat.
My father would first never let the dude enter second almost kill me with his words after this situation.💀 This is the reason I never had or have guy friends. They would go flying outta my house and onto the pavement I swear.
So my parents were extremely strict except when it came to boys. The rules for boys (I wasn’t allowed to date girls so I did it in private) they had to meet my parents before I hung out with them and I was not allowed to hang out at the boys house until the parents became friends
Something similar happened with me in 9th grade 😂😭 I was going to take my report card with my dad (dad was going for ptn for the very first time ) mom wasn't there we were walking to the class and a boy ( with whom I recently anchored in schools annual function, which my parents didn't liked especially dad and suggested to change the partner if I could ) was coming out after getting his report card , he saw me and yelled my name like bro , hold up , we talked like 3 times in my whole life he's calling me like I'm a great friend of his , i galnced at my dad and he was staring at me like 👁️👄👁️ "know him?" " He was the one I anchored with " was all i could say not only that he came up to us and started talking my parents knew his so dad greeted his mom and broo- he was damn serious until we reached the classroom didn't talked to me or anything 😂it's funny now but that moment I could my stomach was twisting
As being Muslim your parent's can be strict ...mine to are in some way but they allowed me to talk to any boy whomever i like to because they know their daughter has strict boundries and have alot of trust on me😭
My parents one time forbade my sister from texting this one guy because they didn't want her becoming attracted to him , especially since he was black 💀💀💀
My Mother even used to go through my contact list to see if there was any boys name (so i used to give them girls names ofc) and one day she saw my cousin's name (i didn't hide it with a girl name bc he's my fuckin cousin ) and she freaked out 😬💀 Like what is wrong with them
All my life, if I mentioned a boy, I'd get teased and questioned. So, whenever someone mentioned one of my guy friends like "is that ur bf" or "who's ur crush" around my family, I just said "ew" and everyone laughed. Until 8th grsde when I said "ew" and everyone looked shocked and uncomfortable and my mom said "boys are ew?" 😭 I j covered up like "no I mean the boys I know are ew, not boys in general"
My parents are literally like that rn, but the things is now I'm in highschool and they still haven't changed, but I have male friends and even a boy who I like and likes me back. The problem is I'm so afraid of my parents, of the fact that they will find out about this, and honestly after that I would be dead as they'd take away every single one of my liberties and even get to the point of beating me up, but still I don't want to pass the opportunity w my crush because honestly it doesn't happen that often that your crush likes you back and I don't want to keep living in fear of my parents, mostly because life is one and I just go by the mentality:"If I were to die tomorrow I don't want to regret everything I did in these last years", but still I'm always so afraid and anxious. I just needed to vent rip, sorry for writing this here
Believe me, just go and hit your chance on him, don't care about your parents, it's toxicity and it should not be the reason to keep you away from what makes you happy
Because I always had strict parents (now they are better) especially my mom was the one to tell me to stay away from boys and now I am at the stage that when a boy even looks at me I panick..if they talk to me I can't reply becuz words left the chat..so please do not do this with your child..let them have normal human interactions because if they don't they will never be able to talk to the opposite gender...and the more you do this the more your child will stop interacting with you aswell..
my parents aren’t strict but sometimes i have friends over but they have to get to know there parents they tell to reach your goals because successful in life
same with mine, they were always like “you’re not allowed to have a boyfriend”, but as soon as i’m a senior and prom season is coming, my mom’s the first to ask “who’s taking you to prom?”, or with my sisters, soon as they graduate college she’s asking them when are they going to get married and how many children they’ll have and that she wants grandkids like?????
No because having assigned group projects that might require meeting up to work outside of school is actually so stressful cuz my parents would not be down to let me work with a guy after school and would assume I’m lying and supervise the entire time
This is soo true Ok so my sis n I were in an all girls school so that we don't talk to guys n don't get distracted and shit.....And now whenever we mention any guy's name they get so protective of wht idk bt they literally want every detail abt him Geez so tiring this js
Girl i feel you, when i was in high school i had a group of friends for the first two years, 6 of us, 3 girls and 3 guys. We'd often hangout at my house on the weekends or whenever we could cause mine was the easiest to get to. Most of the time one of the moms would drop them all off together or the girls would come first then the guys. My mom never suspected me cause shes kind of a modern desi mom cause she moved to the u.s first but my dad being the desi dad he is hated that i had guys over. Usually when we'd all hangout i would just close the door to my room and they were fine cause i never locked it. But this one time one of the guys came over first and early. And it was SO awkward. Him and i were rlly good friends so we just hung out at my room WITH THE DOOR OPEN til my other friends came but then my dad barged in and told us this "u guys shud come to the hall ill get you guys some snacks" because he hated the idea of us being alone in that room😭
My parents are exactly like that and I will never ever tell them a story about a boy even if it is the most interesting story out there. Why? Cause they will kill me😅😅
My Dad does think sometimes like that as if whether I am dating this guy, how can they be friends with my daughter for soo long even I can't bear seeing her face for 5mins😂😂 he partially hates me tbh But few days ago I literally tried to tell my Mom that I have a crush on a guy who looks too cute to be true...n her reaction was " What that's impossible! I am really concenred no boy will like u...rather I am afriad girls will come ask for your hand in marraige cause of your tomboy~ish~ness...please act like a girl atleast infront of him...so I don't have to die without seeing a son-in-law" 🤦🏻♀️ I still don't know how to feel about it...I was like I'll be screwed once I tell her I have a crush on someone but reaction made me question my whole existence😂

This is actually so relatable. I had this friend I was zooming with and he was gay but my parents were like “there will be dating rumors between u two.” They hate every friend of mine that’s a boy. But he ended up being a toxic piece of shit so yeah
I can feel this more than air
That's what my family is like, still, even when I'm 26 already, almost 27 🤦🏼♀️
part 2 please!!!!! i grew up with strict parents so i totally get this!!

Omg that boy was probbably so sweet 😔 I feel bad for you BCS he was definitely a keeper. 😭
Im 18 and my parents r still like that💀
hell yeah and it litreally suckss
Bro I’m 20 and still cant talk to boys
yess i went through this until I came out to them because then they didn't want me around girls or boys cause they thought I was lying abt liking girls but they're not taking chances
2nd part plz 🤣🤣🤣 i had similar situation i use to give and take my notes in my classes only coz I strictly told all my guy frnds not to come at my place
You are sooo pretty like too pretty I am so jealous 😊❤
PART 2 BROOOO MY PARENTS R THE SAMEEEEEE 😭😭😭
th-cam.com/users/shorts57c7_JC6Kwc?feature=share
boy am I glad my parents are NOT like that.
when I bring home anyone, boy, girl, whatever, they're not even questioning anything other than what they want to eat.
😭Whatt really i thought i was the only one
It's so relatable even now.....
My father would first never let the dude enter second almost kill me with his words after this situation.💀 This is the reason I never had or have guy friends. They would go flying outta my house and onto the pavement I swear.
I HAVE NEVER MET ANYONE MORE RELATEABLE THAN SAHAR
So my parents were extremely strict except when it came to boys. The rules for boys (I wasn’t allowed to date girls so I did it in private) they had to meet my parents before I hung out with them and I was not allowed to hang out at the boys house until the parents became friends
girl LITREALLY same , I'm so awkward around boys now
Part 2

STOP BECAUSE MY BF IS ALWAYS TALKING ABT HOW HE’LL COME OVER OR SNEAK IN MY ROOM AND IM LIKE “DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE?!”
Something similar happened with me in 9th grade 😂😭
I was going to take my report card with my dad (dad was going for ptn for the very first time ) mom wasn't there we were walking to the class and a boy ( with whom I recently anchored in schools annual function, which my parents didn't liked especially dad and suggested to change the partner if I could ) was coming out after getting his report card , he saw me and yelled my name like bro , hold up , we talked like 3 times in my whole life he's calling me like I'm a great friend of his , i galnced at my dad and he was staring at me like 👁️👄👁️ "know him?" " He was the one I anchored with " was all i could say not only that he came up to us and started talking my parents knew his so dad greeted his mom and broo- he was damn serious until we reached the classroom didn't talked to me or anything 😂it's funny now but that moment I could my stomach was twisting
“especially sense he was black “ LMAO this story takes the cake
Why is no one talking about her major glow up ❤ beautiful
LMAOO noo 😭
My parents were so strict like she was saying all you did with boys was go to the same school...
I went to an all girls school😢😢😢😂
My Mother even used to go through my contact list to see if there was any boys name (so i used to give them girls names ofc) and one day she saw my cousin's name (i didn't hide it with a girl name bc he's my fuckin cousin ) and she freaked out 😬💀
Like what is wrong with them
What did she say when you said that's your cousin lmao
@@mina5532
She said "yeah" in a sarcastic tone like she didn't beleive me even though she knew him💀
@@HYNA0 💀💀
She needs mental help
bro i felt every single word of this video. so true.
All my life, if I mentioned a boy, I'd get teased and questioned. So, whenever someone mentioned one of my guy friends like "is that ur bf" or "who's ur crush" around my family, I just said "ew" and everyone laughed. Until 8th grsde when I said "ew" and everyone looked shocked and uncomfortable and my mom said "boys are ew?" 😭 I j covered up like "no I mean the boys I know are ew, not boys in general"
omg want to see part two
This is so relatable 😭
@@deeyamehrotra711 thanks a lot ❤️

Because I always had strict parents (now they are better) especially my mom was the one to tell me to stay away from boys and now I am at the stage that when a boy even looks at me I panick..if they talk to me I can't reply becuz words left the chat..so please do not do this with your child..let them have normal human interactions because if they don't they will never be able to talk to the opposite gender...and the more you do this the more your child will stop interacting with you aswell..
Omg that happened to me while I was at the movies with my friend 😭
Please post part 2!!!!!
my parents aren’t strict but sometimes i have friends over but they have to get to know there parents they tell to reach your goals because successful in life
Bro we need pt2!!!!
same with mine, they were always like “you’re not allowed to have a boyfriend”, but as soon as i’m a senior and prom season is coming, my mom’s the first to ask “who’s taking you to prom?”, or with my sisters, soon as they graduate college she’s asking them when are they going to get married and how many children they’ll have and that she wants grandkids like?????
girl i relate to this so bad pls😵💫
No because having assigned group projects that might require meeting up to work outside of school is actually so stressful cuz my parents would not be down to let me work with a guy after school and would assume I’m lying and supervise the entire time
This is soo true
Ok so my sis n I were in an all girls school so that we don't talk to guys n don't get distracted and shit.....And now whenever we mention any guy's name they get so protective of wht idk bt they literally want every detail abt him
Geez so tiring this js
you had the best glow up!!!
Darling..U just put me through a memory lane that i tried so hard to forget..
As a Muslim, we do relate somehow but mine aren't stricts and I just don't like making male friends on my own.
Omg you grew up with strict parents could never be me I’m still growing with my strict parents😢😊
My parents are exactly like that and I will never ever tell them a story about a boy even if it is the most interesting story out there. Why? Cause they will kill me😅😅
My Dad does think sometimes like that as if whether I am dating this guy, how can they be friends with my daughter for soo long even I can't bear seeing her face for 5mins😂😂 he partially hates me tbh
But few days ago I literally tried to tell my Mom that I have a crush on a guy who looks too cute to be true...n her reaction was " What that's impossible!
