Do you know how I can apply for a visa to a different country? I am aiming to visit China and need a visa. However, when I look up the embacy number or the numbers of the visa counsulate in Washinton, LA, or the now closed Huston location in Texas.

I had a international conference I was supposed to attend at the beginning of June 2023..
The conference has already done..
Unfortunately the date has passed and I could not find an appointment because my emergency request denied.
My appointment has always been kept for August 1st, 2023.
How now am I going to justify my reason for my visit during the interview?
Should I modify the DS-160 for another reason?
How do I justify myself to the agent?

You will need to contact the embassy/consulate directly to confirm their procedures for rescheduling. Your reason for needing a new appointment and how long ago the appointment was will dictate whether you will need to pay a new fee.
