Hi, i was thinking instead of saying "key lost" i feel like it should say "key used" i think it makes sense that when a character intentionally opens a door they dont lose a key, they would use it, other than that, good devlog!
A suggestion I'd want to make is to add a coin counter system to the game's heads-up display to display the coin total even when playing a level, without pausing the game. It's a pretty small thing, but it's kinda like the Super Mario series where it displays a similar coin counter on top of the player's screen.
I love how Jhon really avoids calling this game Super Cat Tales 3 Also I hope one day he could release a Super Cat Tales collection and a Drop wizard collection with the games in chronological order with cutscenes to connect them all Now that would be real cool **me just looking at the shirt icon**
It feels a little weird to see fish being separate from food considering that the characters are cats and all, lol. Same could probably be said about bugs, but I can see that some people might get a little grossed out seeing that one as a possibility.
I suppose a category for flowers or some other non-edible plant might work, Maybe even a gift box category for NPCs that ask for very specific things or something. Other than that, I can't really think of much that can't already be easily replaced by one of the 6 mentioned in the video.. Unless a category for literal trash could be put to use, such as cans and broken glass.
You could add a Special icon and notification when you get an item that is quest/story-specific. Also, you could put in a number in the notification template which indicates how many of an item you got or lost.

Just 2 new suggestions: 1 - make items not only available in shops, make it like shovel knight: there are items hidden in levels, but if you miss them, you can buy them in the shop like normal AFTER beating the level 2 - pls add the pets from the first game, it was so cool and now they are gone.

And thought of a way to keep you playing after you completed the story! You can have it so each of the villages have quests that you can do. You could add something like a prize for 100% the game, i would love to see it. I'm in the progress of 100% SCT2, and it is a great (and sometimes frustrating) experience :)

My item ideas are: lure cans for the fishing minigame, random seeds for a farming minigame perhaps? I've also thought of items that boost your stats for one level, but they have to be really rare. Y'know, like speed boost, endurance boost, and jump boost. The potential of the game is overwhelming, flooding over the top by a LOT. I am excited to see a lot of new features of the new Super Cat Tales game in action and just the entire game in general. I hope Pascal is a playable character! Pascal aside, good luck!

I have one idea to get more coins on levels: gold bar: the gold bar would be a special coin that would give you 10 coins after being collected. The gold bar can be find in secret passages and it can be dropped by a new enemie called "the bandit" the bandit is a enemies that shot with a gun and he can stole your itens after a bandit stole your items. after taking damage by touching him he would be stunned cuz almost all enemies in sct will take damage too after we touch him. The item that has stolen will be dropped and you would have a 20% of chance of the bandit drop a gold bar the chance would increase but here's a question "what would happens if we we don't try to get the item from the bandit?" Well the bandit will try to hide in plants like trees and bushs and he can hide in secrets passage too but it really rare cuz it would be too unfair oh! I almost forgot! Here's the list of all the itens that he can stolen -Coins -Keys -bells -sometimes dropped items -And other items but they like more of gold items so it's a bit rare of they stole other items that aren't msde of gold Well that was my idea for super cat tales 3 and hope you liked the idea and enjoyed the comment see ya'll soon with more ideas

hey not anything related to the video but i think itll be pretty cool if evry day or week the level with most coins will change one of the thing that made super cat tales 2 quit repetitive is grinding playing the same level over and over gets annoying!, i think it will be prett cool if you do that and maybe make the level with more coins a little harder to make the reward ever so nicer anyways hope you have a nice day goodbye

This inventory might seem like from an RPG, but it definitely feels like it's from a collectathon 3D platformer, like A Hat in Time.
